On the 29th of March 2014, Fr. Jamal Khader gave a presentation about “What is my position from the occupation as a Christian Palestinian?” this session was held in Beit Sahour.

 On the  26th of March 2014, Fr. Jamal Khader, Rev. Dr. Yohanna Katanacho, Dr. Geries Khoury and Nora Carmi met with church leaders and staff from the Christian Council of Sweden and spoke about Kairos Palestine and the Palestinian Christians

On the 25th of March 2014, Martha Tonsern spoke to a German group led by Johannes Zang about the Kairos Palestine document at Ecce Homo, Jerusalem.

On the 23rd of March 2014, Rifat Kassis met a Norwegian group to brief them about Kairos and the Palestinian Christians.

On the 21st of March, Martha Tonsern and Yasmine Khoury spoke to a group from the Holy Land Ecumenical Foundation about conditions in the Holy Land and the Kairos Document.

On the 20th of March 2014, Archbishop Atllah Hanna spoke to a group of Germans about Kairos Palestine document.

On the 20th of March 2014, Yasmine Khoury spoke to a group from the Methodist Church who visited the Kairos office in Bethlehem to introduce them to the work and progress of this movement.

On the 19th of March 2014, Nidal AbuZuluf spoke to 40 high school students and their teachers from Denmark on Kairos Palestine and discussed possible actions for justice and peace in Palestine.

On the 16th of March 2014, Rifat Kassis gave a lecture to a Scandinavian group about Kairos and the Palestinian Christians. The group was organized by the ATG.

On the 15th of March, on behalf of Kairos Palestine, Nora Carmi attended the book launch of “A wall in Jerusalem” by Mark Braverman, that was held in Jerusalem.

On the 15th of March 2014, Nora Carmi met with Prof. Brian Palmer at the Swedish Christian Study Center, A former Harvard lecturer, now at the Uppsala School of Theology Palmer is interested in resistance to occupations and conflicts, with a focus on The Kairos document as a non-violent effective tool.

On the 14th of March 2014, Yasmine Khoury organized a local Youth Study Circle with Father Jamal Khadder at the Latin seminary in Beit Jala with a focus on the theology of the Kairos Palestine document.

On the 13th of March 2014, Nidal Abu Zuluf spoke to a group of 20 people from England and Wales about the Kairos Palestine document and discussed possible actions.

Between 12th to 14th of March 2014, Rifat Kassis, Nora Carmi and Martha Tonsern attended the annual PIEF-meeting in Beit Jala.

On the 12th of March 2014, the staff group of the PIEF-Kairos Palestine Task Group for BDS met at the office of Kairos Palestine. Ranjan Solomon, Eilert Rostrup, David Wildman, Martha Tonsern and Rifat Kassis worked on suggestions for strategies and on the action plan for 2014 and 2015.

On the 12th of March 2014, Kairos Palestine met with representatives of human rights organizations (DCI/Palestine, Aldameer and Huryat) and the organizers of the World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel to discuss the week/year which will focus on Palestinian prisoners.

On the 11th and 12th of March 2014, Nora Carmi and Yasmine Khoury attended the third “Christ at the Checkpoint“ conference held in Bethlehem.

On the 11th of March 2014, Father Jamal Khadder and Nora Carmi took part in the theological consultation held at ATG on the “Theology of Pilgrimage” to give their input, on behalf of Kairos Palestine, on the document prepared by Raj Bharrat Patta that will be finalized by the end of March to be reviewed by the Palestinian theologians.

On the 10th of March 2014, Rifat Kassis and Martha Tonsern met with Dr. Peter E. Makari from the Global Ministries of the United Church of Christ and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) to evaluate and discuss on-going joint projects between Kairos Palestine and United Church of Christ as well as to plan activities for future activities.

On the 7th of March 2014, Martha Tonsern had a meeting with Regina Henderson, David Wildman and Kristen Brown to introduce Kairos Palestine to Regina Henderson (Associate General Secretary at the General Board of Global Ministries, United Methodist Church).

On the 6th of March 2014, Nora Carmi attended the celebrations that held at the Bethlehem Municipality in honor of international Woman's Day, organized by the Coalition of Women's organizations.

On the 5th of March, Nora Carmi met with the Women’s follow--up committee members to prepare for the second workshop on Kairos: Responsibilities of Palestinian Women today.

On the 5th of March, Archbishop Atallah Hanna met with a Pax Christi group to inform them about developments in Kairos Palestine since the writing of the document in 2009.

On the 4th of March 2014, Martha Tonsern met representatives from the German group "Heimstaette Duenne" to discuss with them opportunities for projects in Palestine.

On the 3rd of March 2014, Martha Tonsern welcomed the group "Evangelische Erwachsenenbildung" from Baden, Germany and talked to them about Kairos Palestine.

Between 28th of February and 2nd of March 2014, Fr. Jamal Khader and Rifat Kassis are participating in a conference entitled Christians in Palestine and the role of the churches in Germany.

On 28th February, Nora Carmi and Yasmine Khoury met with a group of 17 from the Mennonite Central Committee to inform them about Kairos programs and future plans.

On 24th of February 2014, Nora Carmi and Yasmine Khoury held the first follow –up meeting with the committee that was set up to evaluate the first workshop about the challenges and responsibilities of the Palestinian women, and to prepare the way forward for the next workshop in April 2014 and the international conference at the end of September.

On the 21st of February 2014, Rifat Kassis, Nidal Abu Zuluf and Yasmine Khoury together with 5 young Palestinians met with a group of 14 students from WSCF ( World Student Christian Federation) to speak about Kairos Palestine document and to share ongoing daily humiliation stories under occupation.

On 19th February 2014, Yasmine Khoury and Nora Carmi met with Georgette Rabadi and Salameh Bishara to set a training for teachers about Kairos Palestine document.

On 15th February 2014, Nora Carmi met with 9 leaders of Cimade, France to discuss possible ways of better cooperation and expansion in France

On 14th February 2014, Nora Carmi met with four leaders of the Mennonite Central Committee to update them about the Kairos Palestine progress within the churches and encourage the Mennonite Church to keep standing firm for a just solution.

On 13th February 2014, In a lecture to 14 theological students from various countries taking a course at STI (Swedish theological institute) Nora cited Kairos Palestine as an example of a movement On facing the needs of all the community.

On 9th of February 2014, Nidal Abu Zuluf met with a group of 18 people from the Ronningen Folkhiskole, Norway to brief them about Kairos Palestine document.

On 9th of February 2014, Nidal Abu Zuluf gave a presentation on Kairos Palestine to a group of 50 people during the Olive Planting program together with the ATG (Alternative Tourism Group) in Beit Sahour.

On 5th of February 2014, Nora Carmi met with a group of 28 students and two professors from the Eastern Mennonite University at the ATG center in Beit Sahour to brief them about the situation of Palestinian Christians and to introduce Kairos Palestine.

On 3rd of February 2014,Rifat Kassis participated in a press conference organized by the BNC (Boycott National Committee) about the achievements and effect of the BDS campaign.

On the 27th and 28th of January 2014, Rev. Mitri Raheb, Rifat Kassis and Nora Carmi were interviewed about Kairos Palestine for a documentary to be presented at “Christ at the checkpoint” conference March 10-14 2014.

On the 23rd of January 2014, Nora Carmi introduced Kairos Palestine to three members of the Canadian Business Delegation visiting the country.

Between the 23rd till 25th of January 2014, Yasmine Khoury participated at a conference in Amman, Jordan. Levant Christian Associations articulated a vision of the youth for the future.

On the 16th of January 2014, Yusef Daher and Nora Carmi spoke to Bishop Munib Younan about the Easter Alert 2014 and were pleased that His Grace accepted to send a message from Jerusalem on this occasion.

On the 16th of January 2014, Kairos members participated in the NCCOP meeting held at the YMCA Beit Sahour with Patriarch Michel Sabbah, Bishop Munib Younan and Archbishop Atallah Hanna and 24 representatives of other church-related organizations. Topics discussed were Israeli policies and Christians in Israel, the visit of His Holiness, Pope Francis 1 in May, and other important issues that were highlighted in the statement sent out to local and international bodies.

On the 16th of January 2014, Kairos Palestine held the first of a series of seminars entitled Kairos: The opportune moment -challenges and responsibilities of the Palestinian women today. Fifty-five local participants from various areas and different walks of life responded to the presenters discussing the sanctity of life, identity, ethics and values, co-existence and the dignity of human beings. Four facilitators engaged the participants in small groups to look at other challenges such as non-violent resistance, education, decision –making and kairos and advocacy. 11 speakers, moderators and facilitators will form the follow-up committee to implement suggestions and develop a concrete strategy.

On the 15th of January 2014, Yusef Daher and Nora Carmi visited Patriarch Theophilos III and Patriarch Fuad Twal to introduce the Kairos Easter Alert 2014 and were encouraged by the blessings and commitment of the church leaders of Jerusalem.

On the 14th of January 2014, Nora Carmi met with Pat Delvin, EAPPI from the UK serving in Yanoun. Pat, a Catholic had helped organize the ecumenical workshop on Kairos in Newcastle in 2012. Together, they explored ways for further cooperation among all striving for a just peace.

On the 8th of January 2014, Nidal Abu Zuluf gave a lecture to a group of 23 students and teachers from the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, United States about Kairos Palestine.

On the 8th of January 2014, Rifat Kassis gave a lecture to a group of second-year Master of Divinity students from Lancaster Theological Seminary, United States about Palestinian Christians and the Kairos document.

2013

On the 19th of December 2013, Kairos Palestine board of directors met together to evaluate the year 2013 and had Christmas dinner together.

On the 18th of December 2013, father Jamal and Rifat Kassis together with some other community leaders were invited for a dinner meeting with Dr. Saeb Erikat who spoke about the peace negotiations between Palestine and Israel and the challenges facing them.

On the 18th of December 2013, father Jamal Khader and Nidal Abuzuluf met a group representing the leader ship of the Lutheran Church in Germany and discussed together Kairos and the way forward.

On the 18th of December 2013, Yasmine Khoury met with Alison Morgan an Ecumenical Accompanier from Uk to discuss Kairos Palestine document and the Palestinian Christians siutation.

On the 13th of December 2013, Rifat Kassis met Mr. Ranjan Solomon the communication officer of WCC/PIEF and discussed together the establishment of Kairos/PIEF BDS task force.

On the 11th of December 2013, and despite bad weather conditions, the second preparatory meeting for a women’s working session in January was successfully held at the Kairos office in Bethlehem.

On the 6th of December 2013, the Kairos Staff met with Franxois Xavier Adam, head of the Secours Catholique in Jerusalem to discuss possible cooperation especially with pilgrims on a transformative journey.

On the 6th of December 2013, Rifat Kassis had an interview with the Lebanese TV channel; Almayadeel about Kairos and the situation of the Palestinian Christians and their struggle for a just peace in Palestine

On the 5th of December 2013, Nora Carmi met with Kenny Rogers from the Church of Scotland to discuss possible joint projects in 2014.

On the 3rd of Decmebr 2013, Rifat Kassis made a lecture in the AIC Cafe to a group of national and international activists about Kairos Palestine as an effective tool for none violent resistance.

On the 3rd of December 2013, Rifat Kassis made a lecture via skype to group of the Quakers leadership about the current political situation and the situation of the Palestinian Christians.

OOn the 2nd of December 2013, Nora Carmi accompanied 60 multi-media correspondents from various countries on a pre-Christmas tour to Bethlehem. She introduced and distributed the Kairos Palestine Christmas Alert 2013, a comprehensive Advent guide widely circulated around the world. She also encouraged the media to report truthfully and effectively about conditions in the area.

On the 30th of November 2013, Nora Carmi met with a group from the Swedish Theological Institute and spoke about Kairos Palestine from a theological point of view.

On the 30th of November 2013, Kairos Palestine launched the Christmas Alert 2013 at the Latin Seminary in Beit Jala following a reception celebrating the 4th anniversary of Kairos Palestine.

On the 27th of November 2013, Rifat Kassis had an interview on Mayadeen TV in Amman, Jordan about Kairos.

On November 23rd-24th 2013, at a conference in Vienna, Austria about the role of the three monotheistic religions in the conflict, Dr. Martha Tonsern presented Kairos Palestine perspective.

On the 21st of November 2013, Lucy Thaljiyeh met with a group from Palestine Solidarity Campaign in UK and discussed future plans for Kairos movements.

On the 21st of November 2013, Lucy Thaljiyeh spoke to a group of Church leaders from India, Africa and Sweden about the Kairos Palestine document.

Between November 19th and 25th , Kairos Palestine Booth was set up by Nora Carmi at the Sabeel conference in Jerusalem.

On the 19th of November 2013, Dr. Martha Tonsern and Yasmine Khoury spoke with two activists from Spain Miriam and Natalie about Kairos Palestine document.

On the 18th of November 2013, Nora Carmi, Dr. Martha Tonsern and Yasmine Khoury met with Kairos UK activist/leader Rev. Warren Bardsley and discussed future plans after “Time for Action” and the way forward.

On the 18th of November 2013, Kairos Palestine had a meeting with Levi Sabine regarding his PhD research project at the University of Birmingham about the Kairos Palestine document and the Christian BDS movement.

On the 17th of November 2013, Nora Carmi spoke to a group from USA, Canada, Norway and France led by Rev. Bob and Maurine Tobin about Palestinian Christians and the role of Kairos Palestine.

On the 14th of November 2013, ICCOO, a Dutch donor agency conducted a workshop with its partner agencies including the Kairos Palestine movement and further cooperation.

On the 13th of November 2013, Nora Carmi and Yasmine Khoury met with Annemarie Jacobs from Germany and spoke about Kairos Palestine movement.

On the 11th of November 2013, Rifat Kassis met with a group of Christian Aid from the UK and spoke about Kairos Palestine and the way forward.

Between 28th of October and 8th of November 2013, at the World Council of Churches 10th Assembly under the theme “God of life, lead us to justice and peace”, Kairos Palestine conducted and participated in several workshops at the “Madang” (MARKET PLACE ) such as “:striving towards liberation” and the love of the enemy, women in the Middle East and their involvement from Kairos perspective. In addition to a side event on Church Economic Measures.

On the 25th of October 2013, Rifat Kassis met with a representative from HEKS, a Swiss ecumenical organization to discuss ways to connect Kairos Palestine in Switzerland.

On the 23rd of October 2013, Nora Carmi met with Dutch researcher Gied ten Berge to discuss the Theology of Pilgrimage that the latter is working on.

On the 23rd of October 2013, Rifat Kassis and Martha Tonsern spoke to a group from town twinning association Cologne-Bethlehem about Kairos Palestine movement.

On 22nd of October 2013, Nora Carmi met with members of an MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) from the USA and Canada and spoke about Kairos Palestine and responsibilities of peace-building.

On the 21st of October 2013, Fr. Jamal spoke to a group of Dutch study tour led by Meta floor about Kairos Palestine document.

On the 18th of October 2013, Fr. Jamal Khader, Nora Carmi, Martha Tonsern and Yasmine Khoury met with Steve Hucklesby and David Wildman from the UMC ( United Methodist Church) in the UK and USA respectively and discussed the concept of BDS movement as a non-violent tool of resistance and the way forward.

On the 11th of October 2013, Yasmine Khoury and Nora Carmi held a preparatory local women’s meeting to discuss an upcoming workshop to deal with challenges and responsibilities of the Palestinian woman.

On the 10th of October 2013, Nora Carmi met with representative leaders of the Mennonite Central Committee in USA and Europe to promote the concept of Kairos in the church circles.

On the 9th of October 2013, Nora Carmi met with Bernard Flichy, former EAPPI and Secours Catholique Leader to promote Come and See in France.

On the 7th of October 2013, Nidal AbuZuluf spoke to a Swedish group from Sollentuna about Kairos Palestine.

On the 29th of September 2013, Nora Carmi met with a 45 French pilgrim/activist delegation of Secours Catholique at Maison d’ Abraham in Jerusalem.

On the 22nd of September 2013, Kairos members participated in the opening service of the WWPPI ‘Jerusalem, city of justice and peace’ held at the Benedictine Sisters, next to the separation wall of Bethlehem.

On the 18th of September 2013, Nora Carmi and Father Jamal Khader were interviewed by Jordanian Ru’ya TV channel about Kairos Palestine.

Between the 8th - 12th of September 2013, Rifat Kassis met with members of Kairos Netherlands to discuss further cooperation and future plans.

Between the 8th -12th of September 2013, Rifat Kassis attended the preparatory meetings of WCC General Assembly in Geneva.

On the 8th of September 2013, Father Jamal Khader and Nora Carmi were interviewed by LBC and Wattan TV channels at the Latin Seminary in Beit Jala about Kairos Palestine and the UK response: A time for action.

On the 6th of September 2013, Kairos Palestine staff met at the YMCA , Beit Sahour, with representatives of Christian Organizations who will be attending the 10th General Assembly of the World Council of Churches in Busan, South Korea under the theme: God of Life, lead us to justice and peace.

On the 6th of September 2013, Rifat Kassis met with Dr. Luisa Gandolfo from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland who is working on a research about the role of faith-based organizations, and spoke about the Kairos Palestine movement and its impact in the Palestinians community.

On the 28th and 30th of August, Rifat Kassis, Nora Carmi and Yasmine Khoury met with Dutch theologians from Tilburg Universtiy who were speakers at the Diyar conference. Dr, Eric Borgmann and Miriam van Reisen discussed with Rifat possible courageous stands and responses towards kairos Palestine, while Dr. Reisen, Yasmine and Nora focused more on international women’s work and spiritual development.

On the 19th of August 2013, Nora Carmi met with 26 Interfaith Peace Builders from the USA, among whom, university students interested in BDS. Nora spoke about Kairos Work and the impact on mainly churches and religious circles as well as academic circles emphasizing the concept of BDS as a non-violent tool of resistance.

Between the 18th till the 20th of August 2013, Rifat Kassis gave a two-day workshop in Amman, Jordan about the Palestinian cause, historical perspectives, the Israeli occupation and international law with a focus on Palestinian Christians and the Kairos document. The workshop was attended by a group of young leaders from YMCAs and YWCAs in, India, Sri Lanka, Norway, Kenya, Zambia, Southern Sudan, Jordan and Palestine.

On the 13th of August 2013, Rifat Kassis met a Belgian solidarity group and briefed them about the Palestinian Christians and about Kairos document.

On the 3rd of August 2013, Fr. Jamal Khader met with a group of volunteers from Caritas Spain who are spending few weeks in Beit Jala. Fr. Jamal explained the background and the message of Kairos Palestine, and the responsibilities of Churches in Europe to support the cause of justice and peace for Christian Palestinians and all Palestinians, responding to the questions of the volunteers.

On the 26th of July 2013, Kairos Palestine staff met with Beatriz Seara from Caritas Spain to discuss possible cooperation.

On the 25th of July 2013, Rifat Kassis had a meeting with Eneko Gerrikabeitia, the representative of a Spanish organization called Mundubat to know more about Kairos advocacy work and explore ways to cooperate together.

On the 25th of July 2013, Kairos Palestine staff met with journalists from JIJ, The Jerusalem Institute of Justice to speak about religious freedom in Israel and Palestine.

On the 19th of July 2013, Kairos Palestine met Archbishop M. Kehinde Stephen and Rev. Kolade Fdahunsi from the Methodist Church of Nigeria to discuss further cooperation.

On the 19th of July 2013, The Steering committee of Kairos Palestine met at the YMCA in Beit Sahour to evaluate the work in the past six months and to oversee the plan of action for the coming months. Once again the involvement in the local community and expansion of the work was emphasized. At the end of the meeting, the members and staff celebrated the silver Jubilee of the ordination of Father Jamal Khader, their colleague and co-author of the Kairos document.

On the 19th of July 2013, Archbishop Atallah Hanna addressed the 120 participants taking part in the Good shepherds Scouts Camp in Beit Sahour about Kairos Palestine, urging the young people to be true to their faith and national obligations. Kairos Palestine was represented by Rifat Kassis, Yasmine Khoury and Nora Carmi who had contributed in providing the T-Shirts for the camp.

On the 4th of July 2013, Nora Carmi spoke to a group of Australian archeologists and American and Canadian students taking a course at the St. Georges College in Jerusalem about the challenges facing Palestinian Christians and the responsibility of Christians around the world in their stand for justice based on the concept of Kairos Palestine.

On the 4th of July 2013, Martha Tonsern attended the workshop "Rethinking the Discourse: An expert workshop on Israel's policy of forced displacement on both sides of the Green line", conducted by Adalah and Badil in Bethlehem.

On the 1st and 2nd of July 2013, Yasmine Khoury attended the Sabeel Young Adult conference; Moving Mountains in Bethlehem.

 On the 27th of June 2013, Rifat Kassis, Dr. Martha Tonsern and Nidal Abu Zuluf met with a Korean delegation to discuss common strategies and actions for the WCC General Assembly in Busan as well as cooperation for the future.

 On the 26th of June, Yasmine Khoury and Nora Carmi led a bus load of women from Wiam, Arab Educational Institute and Dar a Nadwa on a field trip to Birzeit where they listened to Dr.Samia Butmeh’s lecture on”Women and the Boycott campaign. At the Roman Catholic Parish, they were received by Father Louis Hazboun and groups of women from St. Vincent of Paul and The Committee for the Elderly. Several people signed the Kairos Document before taking a quick but meaningful tour in the three museums established at the Convent. There was much exchange and laughter over lunch before touring the old city and participating in the opening of the annual Rozana Festival.

 On the 19th of June 2013, Yusef Daher and Nora Carmi spoke to 18 Americans from the “Abraham’s Children group” many of them involved with Friends of Sabeel and two members of Kairos USA about the history of Kairos Palestine and how it led to the start of kairos groups within a movement for global justice. Several people in the group shared their own initiatives of teaching the document within their churches, schools and universities.

 On the 17th of June 2013, Nora Carmi spoke in Jerusalem to a French Group from CCFD (Commite contre la faim et pour le development) of 37 people eager to hear Kairos’s position on Jerusalem as well as the facts on the ground around this significant city for all believers.

 On the 16th of June 2013, Lucy Thaljiyeh was interviewed by Amos Trust about the Palestinian cause.

On the 14th of June 2013, Fr. Jamal Khader, Nora Carmi, Dr. Martha Tonsern and Yasmine Khoury met with Indian Theologian and PHD researcher Johnson Thomaskutty from Union Biblical Seminary, Pune, India to discuss the Palestinian contextual theology and Kairos Palestine. Please read more

On the 14th of June 2013, Fr. Jamal Khader, Nora Carmi and Dr. Martha Tonsern met with an American group led by Joy Lapp to exchange discussions about the impact of Kairos Palestine” A moment of Truth” on both local and international supporters and critics.

 On the 4th of June 2013, Dr. Martha Tonsern participated at the Badil-Conference "Forced Population Transfer - Elements and Responsibilities" in Ramallah.

On the 31st of May 2013, Rifat Kassis, Dr. Martha and Yasmine khoury met with HEKS a Swiss ecumenical organization to discuss future cooperation with Kairos Palestine.

 Between May 30 - June 10, 2013, Nora Carmi was invited by Les Amis de Sabil in France and Le Reseau des Chretiens de La Mediterranee to participate on June 1st in a conference entitled “From Christian Zions to Kairos Palestine”along with Archbishop Elias Chacour, the man of peace from the Galilee. She also witnessed for Jerusalem and just peace from a kairos perspective in Geneva and Annemasse.

On the 31st of May 2013, Dr. Martha Tonsern and Yusef Daher welcomed a German-Turkish delegation of Muslim and Christian theologians from Baden Wuerttemberg at Dar Annadwa and spoke with them about the Kairos Palestine Document.

On the 23rd of May 2013, Martha Tonsern met with members of Pax Christi Austria to discuss further cooperation with Kairos Palestine.

Between 21st -25th of May 2013, Rifat Kasis attended the International & Ecumenical Conference – Christian Presence and Witness in the Middle East in Beirut, Lebanon.

On the 17th of May 2013, Kairos Palestine attended Rev. Mitri’s Raheb silver ordination anniversary 1988-2013 at Dar Annadwa in Bethlehem.

 On the 15th of May 2013 Nora Carmi met with a group from the Stockholm School of Theology to discuss “Religion, Conflict and Dialogue” in Palestine/Israel and the role of Kairos Palestine in advocating Global Justice for all.

On the 15th of May 2013, Kairos Palestine and Amjad Mitri from Badil (Resource center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights) had a dinner meeting with a delegation from India who visited Palestine from 11th till 19th of May 2013. They highlighted the theological aspect in the Palestinian struggle, the BDS and discussed ways for future cooperation regarding responsible and transformative tourism. This advocacy trip was organized by ATG (Alternative Tourism Group).

On the 8th of May 2013, Kairos Palestine attended a workshop entitled Responsible Tourism under the context of BDS. This workshop was organized by OPGAI (Occupied Palestine and Syrian Golan Heights Advocacy Initiative), YMCA/JAI ATG and Kairos Palestine.

On the 4th of May 2013, Rifat Kassis met the President of the Board of Directors of HEKS, a Swiss ecumenical organization accompanied by his wife and the Country Representative of HEKS, to brief them about Kairos and the Palestinian Christian situation in Palestine.They also discussed the urgency of the situation in Palestine and the need for the Protestant churches to take a firm stance against the Israeli violations and settlements building policy.

On the 3rd of May 2013, Rifat Kassis gave a lecture to a German group from the German Council twinning with Bethlehem and Beit Jala about Kairos and the situation of Palestinian Christians in Palestine.

 On the 29th of April 2013, Nora Carmi spoke to representatives of the Church of Sweden about the development of Kairos both locally and internationally encouraging the Church of Sweden to continue with the "come and see" pilgrimages and the various tools of non-violent resistance.

 On the 29th of April 2013, Rifat Kassis met Ms. Anna Haberman, a student from German who is writing her thesis on Kairos Palestine and the German churches reaction to it.

 On the 27th of April 2013, Rifat Kassis met Mr. Ben Frazer and another colleague from the Australian Act for Peace to brief them about the Kairos development and the joint cooperation.

 On the 22nd of April 213, Rifat Kassis met with Mr. Johnnes Norberg, a student who is doing his thesis on Kairos Palestine and the situation of the Palestinian Christians under the Israelie occupation.

 On the 20th of April 2013, Rifat Kassis met a group of Norwegian school teachers in the ATG in Beit Sahour to brief them about Kairos and the Palestinian Christian situation. The group consists from 13 teachers and showed a lot of interest in the document and its achievements.

On the 19th of April 2013, Nora Carmi spoke at the Swedish Theological Institute in Jerusalem to 27 members of the The Church of Sweden, all involved in international mission work about Palestinian Christians, their theology and role in peace-making as expressed in the global message of the Kairos Palestine movement.

On the 15th of April 2013, Rifat Kassis met a group from the United Church of Canada in the YMCA in Beit Sahour and discussed with them Kairos Palestine development and the political situation in Palestine with special focus on the Palestinian Christians.

 On the 13th of April 2013, Lucy Tahljieyh spoke to a Swedish group at Wiam (the conflict Resolution Center) about Kairos Palestine and discussed possible cooperation in the future.

On the 11th of April 2013, Rifat Kassis met with World Vision leadership group of United states and spoke about Kairos Palestine and the Christian situation.

On the 6th of April 2013, Rifat Kassis and Dr. Martha Tonsern met the leadership of Kerk in Actie and ICCO at Kairos office in Bethlehem and discussed together the urgency of the situation in Palestine and the need for positive intervention from the side of the churches worldwide in general and in the Netherlands in particular to work for a just peace in the region and to end the Israeli occupation to Palestine.

On the 20th of March 2013, Kairos Palestine conducted a public gathering for H.B Patriarch Michel Sabbah to celebrate his 80th birthday and his spiritual and literary contribution. The event took place at the Latin Patriarchate Seminary in Beit Jala.

On the 16th of February 2013, Rifat Kassis attended the meeting of the Palestinian Christian Organizations Council to discuss its mandate and approve the bylaws.

On the 14th of February 2013, Nora Carmi and Martha Tonsern met with a German group led by Johannes Zang at the Melkite Church in Jerusalem. The 28 members were eager to hear about Kairos, and having Martha fluent in German helped relay a clear message. Nora explained to the group the role, responsibilities and challenges of Palestinian Christians expressed in faith, hope and love.

On the 13th of February 2013, Rifat Kassis lectured about Kairos and the Role of Palesinian Christians to a group of International students taking a 6 week course at the Swedish Theological Institute.

On the 11th of February 2013, Rifat Kassis met A representative from the German ecumenical agency EED to discuss Kairos advocacy work in Germany and the Come and See campaign.

On the 9th of February 2013, Nora Carmi and Yusef Daher met with a Norwegian Interfaith Group " Children of Abraham" representatives of the Christian, Muslim and Jewish Councils visiting the area in search of possible ways for a just peace, especially after the failure of political initiatives. The 15 members of the group showed real interest in the development of Kairos from document to movement and its impact within the community and in peace-building.

On the 8th of February 2013, members of Kairos committee led by His Beatitude Michel Sabbah and staff attended the weekly mass, in protest of the planned apartheid wall to be built on land owned by Beit Jala residents and the Cremisan monastery.

On the 24th of January 2013, Nora Carmi met with German Catholic Theologian, Rainer Zimmer-Winkel to discuss ecumenism in Palestine and the development of Kairos Palestine.

On the 24th of January 2013, Nidal Abuzuluf made a presentation on the Kairos Palestine document to 24 members of the Palestinian Ecumenical Youth Movement. This came as part of a three-day training course that the Joint Advocacy Initiative (JAI) organized for this group on Ecumenism, Leadership and Advocacy.

On the 23rd of January 2013, Nora Carmi spoke to a group of 15 leaders from Catholic Charities in the USA about the challenges facing Kairos Palestine and Palestinians as well as Christians in particular, in the coming year. This first trip of the American branch of Caritas International was organized by the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and the meeting took place at the Notre Dame Center in Jerusalem.

On the 23rd of January 2013, Yasmine Khoury and Nora Carmi met with Dr. Yusef Zaknoun from the Cardinal Martini Leadership Institute at Bethlehem University to discuss possible cooperation for Youth leadership Training.

On the 19th of January 2013, Archbishop Atallah Hanna, Rifat Kassis (co-authors) and Nassar Ibrahim, head of OPGAI took part in a panel discussion on Kairos under the title of “ The role of the Palestinian Christians and Arabs facing current challenges at the YMCA in Beit Sahour. This event was organized by OPGAI (Occupied Palestine and Syrian Golan Heights Advocacy Initiative) and the Arab Orthodox Society. Najwa Darwish, Director of Badil (Resource center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights), moderated the session.

On the 18th of January 2013, Rifat Kassis met two journalists from Italy Andrea and Linda Milluzzi to speak about the situation of Christians in Palestine and the Kairos document.

On the 16th of January 2013, Rifat Kassis and Nidal Abuzuluf met a group from Christian Aid, UK, with Bishop Peter Price – Bishop of Bath and Wells (UK) House of Lords, Bishop John Inge, Bishop of Worcester (UK) House of Lords and Bishop Trevor Williams - Bishop of Limerick and Killaloe, who became Chair of Christian Aid Ireland. They discussed the Kairos Palestine document and the situation of Christians in Palestine. They shared their expectations and explored the way forward.

On the 27th of December 2012, Fr. Jamal Khader, Rifat Kassis, Nora Carmi and Yasmeen Khoury met Rev. Ken Brooker Langston from the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) from Washington, DC to speak about Kairos Palestine document.

In December 2012, Yasmine Khoury and Nora Carmi met with Susan May Granada from the Christian Peacemakers Team in Hebron to explore ways of CPT involvement with Kairos Palestine and better cooperation between the two groups.

On the 20th of December 2012, Yusef Daher spoke to a group of Pax Christi Netherlands about Kairos Palestine and the Christian situation at the Arab Educational Institute (AEI), Bethlehem.

On the 19th of December 2012, the Kairos Palestine administrative committee met to evaluate the local congress and discuss the Kairos strategic plan for 2013.

On the 15th of December 2012, Nora Carmi met with Co-President Marie Dennis and General Secretary Jose Henruiquez of Pax Christi International to brief them about the work of Kairos Palestine and possible cooperation to ensure the continuity and role of organizations in promoting a just peace, not only in Palestine and Israel, but the whole region.

On the 12th of December 2012, Nora Carmi met with international reporters in front of the Separation Wall inside Bethlehem to speak about the meaning of Christmas this year. She presented the Christmas Alert prepared by Kairos Palestine and Arij with a focus on settlements, land confiscation, the wall and water that prevent joyous celebrations in Bethlehem. The four-week study for Advent includes meditations and theological reflections from local theologians who aspire for a just peace and hope in the land made Holy by the Incarnation. Xavier Abu Eid, one of the organizers of the program from the Palestinian National Government Media Center provided the reporters with copies of the Kairos Document and the Christmas Alert.

On the 8th of December 2012, Nora Carmi met a Belgian Group of 21 people, who had read the "Moment of Truth" document wanted to learn more about the progress and developments, and discussed possible cooperation.

On the 6th of December 2012, Kaiors Palestine Members had a lunch meeting with the delegation of South African Church leaders to respond to the theological questions and biblical readings from a Kairos Palestine perspective.

On the 30th of November 2012, Nora Carmi and Yasmine Khoury met a group of young politicians lead by Maartje Berger from DCI ( Defense for Children International) Netherlands to speak about Kairos Palestine.

On the 30th of November 2012, Nora Carmi met with Rev. James Moos and Peter Makari from the Global Ministries of the United Church of Christ and Disciples Christ to share the progress of Kairos globally and to discuss further cooperation during this historic period in the lives of the Palestinian people.

On the 25th of November 2012 , Nora Carmi met with a delegation of 42 clergy from the Church of South India led by Anglican Bishop Deva from Madras. She introduced the Kairos Document, its development into a global movement as well as the value and effect of transformational pilgrimages. This was the first of four such groups supported by the Church of Scotland with a focus on sound theology and the prophetic role of the Church to promote a just peace for all.

On the 19th of November 2012, Kairos Palestine met with Minister of tourism & Antiquities Ms. Rula Ma’ayah to speak about Kairos Palestine and invite her to say a word of welcome at the anniversary , 7th of December 2012.

On the 13th of November 2012, Rifat Kassis met in Ramallah a group of World Vision staff in USA offices and briefed them about the political situation, the Palestinian child rights violations and Kairos movement activities and achievements.

On the 12th of November 2012, Rifat Kassis met representatives from United Church of Canada and from Australian church in Action and briefed them about the Kairos movement development and how to advance the cooperation between Kairos and them.

Between 2-8 November 2012, In response to an invitation from The Church of Scotland and Friends of Sabeel UK, Nora Carmi, Project Coordinator, Kairos Palestine delivered lectures and held meetings both in England and Scotland. On the 29th of October 2012, Nora Carmi met Canadian Presbyterian Church leaders led by Professors Noel and Dorcas Gordon in a roundtable discussion about Jerusalem as seen from the Kairos Palestine perspective.

On the 26th of October 2012, Kairos Palestine welcomed Beatriz Seara and Claudette Habesch from Caritas Spain and Jerusalem to discuss ways of promoting Kairos Palestine in Spain, especially Palestinian communities in Valencia through a promotional film and materials translated into Spanish. On the same day, Kairos Palestine welcomed Father Gianfranco Testa, a staunch supporter of the rights of struggling people in Latin America, uplifting the virtues of forgiveness as a liberating way of life for both oppressors and oppressed.

On the 23rd of October 2012, Nora Carmi spoke to a group of Mennonites from Europe about Kairos Palestine encouraging them to adopt the Come and See Holy Land tours. Leading them into a Contemporary Way of the Cross highlighted the importance of spiritual, transformational pilgrimages.

On the 22nd of October 2012, Rifat Kassis met with the representatives of Kirk in Actie from the Netherlands to discuss the cooperation between both organizations.

On the 16th of October 2012, Nora Carmi met with Dr. Miriam Van Reisen from Tilburg University, the Netherlands in Jerusalem to discuss local and international developments of Kairos as well as possible cooperation with the university. Dr. Miriam van Reisen also met with Rifat Kassis in Bethlehem.

On the 15th of October 2012, Dr. Martha Tonsern welcomed German members of the town twinning association Cologne-Bethlehem and discussed possibilities of further cooperation between the German Cologne-Bethlehem association and Kairos Palestine.

Between 14th -18th of October 2012, Rifat Kassis and Shatha Banoura participated in a consultation in the Netherlands organized by Kairos Netherlands about BDS and anti- normalization. The event was attended by many church representatives in addition to solidarity groups and trade unions. In addition to this event the delegation met the General Director and the International Director of ICCO and representatives from Cord Aid to discuss the relations between them and Kairos. Cord Aid has recently adopted the Kairos document and is in the process of finalizing an action plan to use it for advocacy and lobby work in the Netherlands.

On the 14th of October 2012, Nidal AbuZuluf presented the Kairos Palestine document to 60 internationals at the YMCA who were all Olive Pickers coming from 18 different countries to help in the Palestinian Olive harvest and show solidarity with the Palestinian people.

On the 12th of October 2012, Rifat Kassis participated in a conference call with the Steering committee of Peace for Life (PfL) network to discuss many issues among them the participation of Global Kairos in the upcoming World Social Forum/Free Palestine. Rifat Kassis, Stiaan van der Merwe and Ranjan Solomon will represent the PfL in this important event and will hold some workshops and encounters.

On the 9th of October 2012, Rifat Kassis met with a Swedish group to discuss the Kairos document and the political situation in Palestine/Israel and its effect on Christians.

On the 9th of October 2012, Fr. Jamal Khader gave a lecture to a French group, "Animateur du Réseau Israel/Palestine" about Kairos Palestine document at Bethlehem University.

On the 4th of October 2012, a group of Palestinian and international Christians, inspired by liberation theology, dressed up like dogs and distributed around 3000 flyers and 531 “Caek il Eid,” a traditional local bread served at Easter time. This bread, decorated in the colors of the Palestinian flag and numbering 531 loaves to symbolize the 531 Palestinian villages that have been demolished or depopulated, was distributed to the Christian Zionist crowd within the annual Jerusalem march for the Feast of Tabernacles. Inspired by a study of Mark 7:24-30, a group of Palestinian Christians sponsored this rag-tag group of “dogs” to hand out a gift to Christian Zionist participants in the parade. One dog said, “We wanted to give them a gift from the ‘dogs of the land’ that would critique any theology that excludes and demeans half of the population of this land.” Along these lines, the flyers include Ephesians 2:19 and Psalm 146:7-9a which describe the loving justice of God and how he cares for the oppressed.  On the 30th of September 2012, Nora Kort delivered a sermon at the First Presbyterian Church , Batesville, Arkansas about Kairos Palestine Document at the Sunday Adult Education Class who have started their reading of it and they wanted to hear more.

 On the 29th of September 2012, Fr. Jamal Khader, Nora Carmi, Yusef Daher, Nidal Abuzuluf and Rifat Kassis together with other CROs representatives met the president of the presidential committee on Church relations, a committee assigned by the president of Palestine to follow up on Christian affairs. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the proposed agreement between the Vatican and Israel in addition to other issues related to the Christian presence.

On the 27th of September 2012, Archbishop Atallah Hanna spoke about Palestinian Christians in the Struggle for Freedom and Justice at Bethlehem University. This event was organized by the Freedom Theatre, Jenin Refugee Camp.

 On the 23rd of September 2012, Nora Kort was involved with the International Peacemakers Program of the Presbyterian Church USA and preached twice at the First Presbyterian Church in Wooster, Ohio (on "A message from the Holy Land" choosing the Kairos Document).

On the 22nd of September 2012, Nora Carmi addressed the Episcopal Local Women's retreat in Bethlehem on "Our talents...our gifts", in a contextual understanding of the Parable of the Talents in the Gospels. About 50 women from Palestine and Israel were reminded of the basic principles repeatedly emphasized in " A Moment of Truth, the Kairos Palestine document: Faith, Hope and Love.

On the 21st of September 2012, Fr. Jamal Khader, Yusef Daher and Rifat Kassis met some representatives of Christian related organizations to discuss various issues in relation to Kairos Palestine and the Christian presence in Palestine.

On the 8th of September 2012, Andreaz Kuntz chairperson of the Tourisim Studies Department at Dar Al-Kalima college met with young students of teaching Protestant Religion from Landau / Pfalz, Germany, with the pastors Dominique Ehrmantraut und Steffen Schramm and spoke about Christians in Palestine, the relations of Christians in Europe to the Middle East and teaching the Land of Jesus.

On the 7th of September 2012, Rifat Kassis spoke at a public gathering of various committees of the Latin Congregation in Bethlehem held at the Terra Santa school. More than 45 people were introduced to the Kairos Document.

On the 4th of September 2012, Martha Tonsern and Yasmine Khoury met Rev. Jorge L.F. Domingues, Deputy Gerneral Secretary of Global Ministries with Janet Lewis and Rev. Kristen Brown from the Methodist Church office to speak about Kairos Palestine document,opportunities and future cooperation.

On the 24th of August 2012, Martha Tonsern and Yasmine Khoury met at Badil (Resource center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights) to discuss the joint research on displacement and dispossession.

On the 23rd of August 2012, Kairos Palestine took part in the meeting of the local CROs at the Latin Seminary in Beit Jala to reactivate the National Coalition of Christian Organizations in Palestine ( NCCOP) as a unified responsible body.

On the 23rd of August 2012, Kairos Palestine had a meeting with two representatives of the Quakers in Norway, Kristine Hofseth Hovland and Kristin Eskeland to discuss the latest Kairos movement developments and further coordination since the Quakers in Norway are open to Kairos demands..

On the 20th of August, Nora Carmi spoke to the Board and staff of Bilda, Sweden about the role of liberal continued education and the Kairos Palestine Movement.

On the 17th of August 2012, Rifat Kassis met Nokwabo Madikane, an EAPPI accompanier from Johannesburg, South Africa to respond to her queries about Kairos Palestine.

On the 14th & 23rd of August 2012, The administrative committee of Kairos Palestine met to discuss future local and international plans until the end of the year 2012.

In August 2012, Johanna Schulze from Berlin, Germany interviewed some of the Kairos Palestine coauthors and staff in preparation for her doctoral thesis on Palestinian Christians.

 Kairos Palestine and PNGO met twice in July 2012 to discuss further cooperation and new initiavties.

 On the 20th of July 2012, the Third National/Local Youth conference was held at the YWCA center in Ramallah. Around 80 young participants from the northern West bank towns of Jenin-Zabdeh, Jifna, Ramallah and Birzeit met with their brethren from Bethlehm, Beit Sahour, Jericho and Jerusalem under the theme: “The Youth responds to the cal”, meaning the Kairos call to become more involved as responsible youth within the society.

On the 20th of July 2012, Kairos Palestine held its third Youth Conference the YWCA, in Ramallah. 80 young women and men ecumenically represented gathered from Jifna, Zababdeh, Jenin, Bethlehem and Beit Sahour, as well as Jericho, Jerusalem and Ramallah YWCA members to further explore and understand better the concept of faith, hope and love declared in the document “A moment of truth”. On the 14th of July 2012, Rifat Kassis gave a lecture about Kairos Palestine and the role of Christian Palestinians at the AIC (Alternative Information Center) in Beit Sahour. The lecture was attended by different particiapnts from different countries.

On the 13th of July 2012, 13 CROs and active individuals met at Siraj in Beit Sahour to explore ways of activating the work and cooperation of the local forum (previously known as NCCOP. National coalition of Christian organizations in Palestine) There was a general concensus that the Kairos Palestine document and way of life should be the guiding common ground and that this local forum would become a more proactive body in internal and religious affairs focusing once a month on the issue of the day.Yusef Daher from Jic will coordinate the initiative; there will be no formal structure but a set of by-laws(to be updated) to facilitate the cooperation.

On the 12th of July 2012, Rifat Kassis spoke to group from World Vision leadership in USA about the Palestinians Christians situation and Kairos Palestine document.

From the 10th – 23rd of July 2012, Fr. Jamal Khader and Amjad Kassis from BADIL Resource Center for Residency and Refugee Rights (BADIL) , participated in a 12 day speaking tour throughout India. The tour was organized by the Indian Solidarity Ecumenical Network Palestine (ISEN-P) which was established less than a year ago, as a response to Kairos Palestine, to uphold Palestinian rights and to advocate an end to Israel’s longstanding impunity.

Between the 24th -31st of May 2012, Faten Husari from Kairos Palestine youth participated in the World of Peace Seminar in Seoul, Korea. She spoke about Kairos Palestine document and the Christian Palestinian situation under occupation. This conference was organized by the National Council of Churches and YMCA Korea.

On the 25th of June 2012, Rifat Kassis and Yusef Daher met a group of students from United Theological Seminary, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and spoke about Kairos Palestine document the Palestinian Christian situation.

On the 16th of June 2012, Nora Carmi met with a group of 18 archeological and religious leaders from Australia led by Reverend Greg Jenks to introduce Kairos Palestine.

On the 15th of June 2012, Archbishop Atallah Hanna, Yusef Daher and Nora Carmi met with 14 Colorado Friends of Sabeel led by Joy lapp at ICB and shared information about Kairos Palestine and Global Kairos developments.

On the 13th of June 2012, Fr. Jamal Khader, Rifat Kassis , Nidal AbuZuluf and Nora Carmi met Rev. raj bharath Patta the General secretary of Student Christian Movement of India (SCMI) to discuss the theology of pilgrimage to the holy land.

From May 24th-June 6th, Nora Carmi went on a two-week speaking tour in Canada. Invited by Canadian Friends of Sabeel, the UCC and the Presbyterian Churches, Nora took part in the Montreal/Ottawa UCC conference, in preparation for the 41st Assembly in August , the Oshawa Presbyterian 138th General Council, the launching of the WCC World Week of Peace for Palestine and Israel, and lectured at Knox Theological College in Toronto as well as the Presbyterian and Anglican Churches in Ottawa. In addition to several TV and magazine interviews, Nora was privileged to have an audience with the Anglican Primate, Fred Hilz, Cardinal Thomas Collins and Archbishop Christian Lepine of the Roman Catholic Church. She also delivered a message on Parliament Hill in Ottawa upon the invitation of Senator Ann Cools and in the presence of former diplomats and parliamentarians as well as the Middle East Working Group. Connecting with the Canadian Kairos Forum representing several churches and organizations was an added blessing.

What is the Kairos moment for the Galileans, second class citizens in the 64 years old state of Israel? Retired Judge Rayeq Jarjoura reminded the over 130 people attending the panel discussion of the historical facts and possible measures to be taken even at this late stage to preserve the human being in dignity. Sabeel Coordinator, Violette Khoury moderated the session and Nora Carmi gave a brief review of Kairos from document to movement. Dr. Martha Tonsern, Kairos Advocacy officer also attended the event. On the 19th of April 2012, Kairos Palestine met with CRO(Church-related organization) members at the YMCA in Beit Sahur, to give an update about Kairos Palestine and to explore possibilities of joint cooperation of CROs and expansion of the grassroots movement.

On April 2nd, Nora Carmi met with a Swedish group of 18 people led by Lars Bolinger at Dar An-Nadwa to speak about the developments, progress and challenges of Kairos Palestine as a growing movement both in the local and international circles.

Between 27th -31st March 2012, Salameh Bishara, Resource and Curriculum Development Officer For Lutheran schools of ELCJHL spoke about the Kairos Palestine document as a tool for English Language at the TESOL convention in Philadelphia, USA.

Between 21st- 25th March 2012, Lucy Thaljiyeh (Kairos co-author), Rami Kassis and Jawad Musleh, ATG ( Alternative Tourism Group) took an advocacy trip to Nigeria. They discussed with Tourist Promotion officials about the annual Nigerian Pilgrimages to the Holy Land that do not take into consideration the plight of Palestinian Christians because of the political situation in the Holy land. This advocacy trip was organized by Churches in Action for Peace and Development in Nigeria and is part of ”come and see,” justice pilgrimage of Kairos and ATG.

Between the 5th – 9th of March 2012, At the BBC conference “Christ at the checkpoint” co-authors Rev. Dr. Yohanna Katanasho and Father Dr. Jamal Khader engaged the evangelical participants in four workshops about Kairos. Rev. Dr. Yohanna Katanasho ended his presentation on the History of Arab Christians with special focus on Kairos Palestine as a source of hope. The conference was an opportunity for Kairos Palestine participants to link with internationals and to distribute promotional material.

On the 9th of March 2012, Nidal Abu zuluf , Zoughbi Zoughbi , Usama Zoughbi from Wiam (conflict Resolution Center) and Rev. Kjell Johnasson met members from the National Council of Churches. They discussed the Kairos Palestine document, the Christian Palestinian situation and expresses their full support to work for peace and justice.

On the 15th of March 2012, Kairos Palestine and Wiám Center organized an activity for women at the Peace Center in Bethlehem under the theme “Women and Kairos”. 74 women (including three men) participated in the half-day event followed by a Lenten lunch to celebrate together, hear presentations about Kairos and practical ways inspired from the spirituality of the Kairos Document “A moment of truth”.

On the 16th of March 2012, Nora Carmi spoke at a local youth conference held at Dar an Nadwa entitled “Christian youth and challenges today” to 35 young people largely from Zababdeh village and studying at the American University of Jenin about the Kairos document as a reviving non-violent tool for the Christian Community. The visual presentation gave a clearer perspective of this growing movement: A moment of truth.

Between the 28th of February – 4th March 2012, during her trip to Sweden, Nora Carmi had the opportunity to introduce Kairos in Hjalbo as well as in Jonkoping. In a special session with the Board of BILDA, Nora spoke of the ongoing progress and evolution of the movement. At the conference entitled, Shalom Inshallah, she gave two lectures on the future of Christianity and the role of Christians in peace making. The 15 minutes visual presentation about Kairos met with interest and enthusiasm as many would like to use it as resource material for theological students and in preparation for transformational /justice pilgrimages.

On the 17th of February 2012, Yusef Daher gave a lecture to a new group of EAPPI about Kairos Palestine document in Jerusalem.

On the 17th of February 2012, Rifat Kassis, Nora Carmi and Yasmeen Khoury met with representatives from OPGAI, AIC, BDS, Badil, PINGO, Stop the wall Campaign and all grassroots groups working on advocacy and non-violent resistance. An update on Kairos Palestine activities was presented and an action plan for cooperation on the local level was set for future work.

On the 13th of February 2012, Nora Carmi and Yusef Daher met with a group from Watford, UK led by Canon Dick Lewis, a regular visitor to the region whose pilgrimages are spiritually informative, educational and advocacy-oriented. Several of the 30 parishioners in the group are part of the Watford Friends of Salfit and supporters of projects in the West Bank. The meeting took place at Star Hotel, Bethlehem and the focus was Kairos Palestine: from a document to a global movement.

On the 13th of February 2012, Rifat Kassis gave a lecture in Grand Hotel in Bethlehem about Kairos Palestine to a group of theologians from different parts of the world participating in the annual international course at the Swedish Theological Institute.

On the 10th of February 2012, Rifat Kassis gave a lecture to a group of American students in the ATG offices in Beit Sahour about the Palestinian Christians and their role in the liberation struggle.

On the 6th of February 2012, his Eminence Patriarch Michael Sabbah, Archbishop Atallah Hanna, Rev. Mitri Raheb, Fr. Jamal Khader, Rifat Kassis, Yusef Daher, Nidal AbuZuluf, Lucy Thaljiyeh, Nora Carmi and Yasmeen Khoury met to discuss Kairos Palestine strategy, follow up on achievements and future developments.

On the 4th of February 2012, Rifat Kassis, Nora Carmi, Shatha Banoura, Nidal Abu Zuluf, Yasmeen Khoury and Yusef Daher met Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, WCC General Secretary in the Kairos office in Bethlehem. They discussed together the Kairos; where it stands now and the future cooperation with the WCC. Also the Kairos group informed the GS and the accompanied delegation about the current political situation in Palestine and Israel.

Between the 2nd – 5th of February 2012, Rev. Imad Haddad and Dr. Muna Mushahwar participated at Uppsala Theology festival in Sweden. On the 1st of February 2012, an event has been organized by the cultural Cafe in Ramallah and in cooperation with the Palestinian women research and documentation centre and Al-Bireh and Ramallah municipalities and the French/German cultural centre at the French cultural centre in Ramallah (Al-Salam St.) to discuss Rifat Kassis Book "Kairos for Palestine".

Between 24-28 of January 2012, His Eminence Patriarch Michael Sabbah, Mr. Rifat Kassis, Mr. Yusef Daher and Ms. Muna Mushahwar had participated at the WCC consultation in Antelias, Lebanon. They spoke about the implications for Christians and Muslims in the Arab world, and addressed the Models of citizenship . The consultation aimed to give a space for the churches living in difficult religious and political contexts to share their concerns openly and engage Muslim leaders in the challenges that the Christians are facing in the region To deepen Christian-Muslim collaboration in relation To begin working on a common message that will include the vision and the expectations of the churches for the future of the Christian presence and witness in the Middle East.

On the 11th of January 2012, Fr. Jamal Khader and Ms. Jean Zaru presented Kairos Palestine over a dinner meeting in Ramallah with seven clergies and a member of General Synod of the Church of England.

On the 12th of January 2012, Mr. Yusef Daher gave a session on Kairos Palestine to the Methodist International Conference in Jerusalem. More than 200 people attended and showed interest in the global action as spreading the word, come and see and other actions.

On the 19th and 20th of December 2011, Yasmine Khoury, Communications and Administrative Officer represented Kairos Palestine at the Second Palestinian Environmental Awareness & Education Conference entitled “ Environmental Responsibility of Youth”. Several papers were discussed on youth attitudes, the environmental education, ethics and responsible citizenship.

Between the 15th - 17th of December 2011, some of the co-authors of Kairos Palestine participated in Aliqa conference, entitled An Arab Christian vision for the future of Palestine and the Arab World.. They spoke about the presence of the Christian churches in the Arab world and emphasized the importance of the leading role of the local churches and the position they take to contribute in reform, progress, by renouncing violence and finding answers to build a better Arab society.

On the 27th of November 2011, Archbishop Atallah Hanna spoke about Kairos Palestine document in an open public gathering organized by the Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago where more than 1000 people attended.

On the 23rd of November 2011, the Educational Book Shop and the Friends International Centre in Ramallah organized a book launch for Rifat Kassis’s book "Kairos for Palestine" at the Friends Meeting House in Ramallah, where the author spoke about the book and read parts of it. Discussion followed and the author signed his books.

On the 22nd of November 2011, Rifat Kassis met 4 German journalist and discussed with them the Kairos document in addition to the general political situation in Palestine and the Arab World.

On the 18th of November 2011, Ms. Nora Carmi spoke about Kairos to a group of Students from the University of Gratz in Austria led by Catholic Theologian of Old Testament, Ulrike Bechman. On the same day, she also spoke to a group of German pastors from Frankfurt led by Rev. Werner Schneider Quindeau at Dar Annadwa, Bethlehem.

On the 16th and 17th of November 2011, Rev. Mitri Raheb, Mr. Yusef Daher, Ms. Nora Carmi and Ms. Yasmeen Khoury met a group of Women Bishops from the Methodist Churches in USA on a tour entitled: "Women to Women". They presented the Kairos Palestine document and spoke about activities and future plans. After responding to questions, the group commented that this encounter had filled them with hope.

On the 15th of November 2011, Mr. Yusef Daher presented Kairos Palestine document to a group of 60 people from International Word Ministries from Europe.

On the 6th of November 2011, Archbishop Atallah Hana, Fr. Jamal Khader and Mr. Nidal Abu Zuluf met an Ecumenical Delegation from the United Kingdom over dinner that included Bishop Angaelos, Rev. Richard Clarke, Bishop of Meath and Kildare, Rev. Dr Mary Cotes, Rev. Sheilagh Kesting Gillian Kingston and Rev. Peter Colwell in which they spoke of ecumenical relations and the impact of the Kairos Palestine document.

On the 4th of November 2011, Ms. Nora Carmi and Yasmeen Khoury were interviewed by Ms. Nicole Kruckenberg from Denmark about Kairos Palestine document to bring awareness to the readers of the Danish Christian daily newspaper.

On the 3rd of November 2011, Rifat Kassis and Nuha Khoury lectured in in Litteraturhuset, in Oslo Norway where they spoke about Just Peace in the Middle East. This lecture was organized by Nordre Aker Church Academy, The Orthodox Church Academy in Oslo and Norwegian Church Academies.

On the 3rd of November 2011, His Eminence Patriarch Michael Sabbah spoke to a group of Swedish Parliamentarians. The meeting was arranged by Diakonia. The same group also met with Nora Carmi, Dr. Mustapha Abu Sway and Rabbi Jeremy Milgrom in a panel on "The Role of religions in peacemaking" in which Nora highlighted Kairos as a non-violent tool for peace.

On the 31st of October 2011, Rifat Kassis and Nuha Khoury lectured in the private university MHS – School of Mission and Theology in Stavanger in Norway attended by Dr. Gerd Marie Ådna and NMS master students of The Global studies and the 1st year students of Inter-cultural communication and Global partnerships. They also spoke in Elligsoy Church and to students in Alesund about Kairos and the Palestinian Christians.

Rifat kassis and Dr. Nuha Khoury were invited on a speaking tour to Norway between 30th of October to the 3rd of November and spoke in different cities and locations such as an ecumenical service in Stavanger Domkirke in Norway, and a seminar about Kairos and the situation of Palestinian Christians under the Israeli military occupation, led by by Mr. Odd Kristian Reme and organized by the Catholic forum,, The Church City Mission Rogaland, The Stavanger city committee of Norwegian Church Aid in St. Svithun Catholic Church, in Stavanger in Norway. Nuha Khoury spoke about ways to improve the situation for the local people and bring change to the society, through arts and educational projects. Several respondents from the Church of Norway Council on Ecumenical and International Relations, Norwegian Church Aid, Ecumenical Accompaniment Program, the NGO organization The Nablus society, with close relations with the twin town project of Stavanger and Nablus gave their comments before a final musical performance led by the singer Liv Runedatter.

On the 28th of October till the 5th of November Rifat Kassis and Nuha Khoury will be in Norway on a speaking tour about Kairos and Palestinian Christians.

On the 27th and 28th of October 2011,Kairos Palestine organized a conversational session with the ICCJ (International Council of Christians and Jews) and representatives of the European Churches from Germany, The Netherlands and Sweden to further discuss topics arising from the Kairos document on :Approaches to reading the Bible, Theology and Justice, The religious significance of land and how Palestinians view Jesus.

On the 25th of October 2011, Nora Carmi met a French group from Lilles, France representing the CCFD (the committee against poverty and for development) at Siraj Center in Beit Sahour. She introduced the Kairos Document in French.

On the 22nd of October AIC (Alternative Information Center) organized a book launch for Rifat Kassis’s book "Kairos for Palestine", attended by more than 80 people. Mr. Ranjan Solomon from WCC and Father Jamal Khader gave a review of the book; Rifat read excerpts of the book and answered the questions of the audience.

On the 21st of October 2011, Kairos Palestine met representatives from PIEF(Palestine Israel Ecumenical Forum), WCC and EAPPI to discuss the “Kairos for global justice” encounter to be held 4-10 Dec, 2011 as well further advocacy work and cooperation.

On the 21st of October, Rifat Kassis and Nora Carmi met Rev. Alan Sarte from the Philippines and briefed him about Kairos and the upcoming event in December where KP is organizing an international conference to establish a global Kairos for justice.

On the 21st of October 2011,Yasmine Khoury, spoke to members of the executive committee of the Swedish Ecumenical Women’s Council representing various Christian organizations and about Kairos Palestine activities and future plans.

On the 20th of October 2011, Lucy Thaljieh spoke to members of the executive committee of the Swedish Ecumenical Women’s Council about Kairos Palestine document and women situation under occupation.

On the 20th of October 2011, Rifat Kassis and Nora Carmi met Mr. Feijie Duim, the program officer of ICCO en Kerk in Actie, Netherlands. They discussed the Kairos working group and ways of promoting the document.

On the 20th of October 2011, Rifat Kassis, Yusef Daher and Nidal Abu Zuluf met Mr. Terry Waite the president of Y Care in UK and briefed him about the Kairos document and what needs to be done in UK to support the Palestinian cause.

On the 19th of October 2011, Nidal Abuzuluf presented the Kairos document to some 80 internationals from 16 different countries as part of the Olive Picking Program that the JAI organized. The presentation focused on strategies to end occupation and colonization of Palestine and achieve justice as mentioned in the KP document, and responded to the questions and comments made by the audience.

On the 18th of October 2011, Nora Carmi attended PASSIA Roundtable meeting on “The EU and US, and the Palestinian UN Bid in September where she made contact with the representatives of different countries to introduce the Kairos document.

On the 18th of October 2011, Nora Carmi met in Jerusalem with a delegation of the Presbyterian Church in Canada headed by the Moderator, Rev. Rick Horst to discuss the progress of the Kairos Palestine document as well as the challenges facing the Christian communities and the Church today.

On the 18th of October 2011, Rev. Mitri Raheb and Rifat Kassis together with some other Christian leaders met a delegation from Canada visiting Palestine as a response tp the call of Kairos "Come and See". They were briefed about Kairos development and its achievements on the national and international levels.

On the 14th of October 2011, Nora Carmi, Fr. Jamal Khader, Yusef Daher, Nidal Abu Zuluf, Rev. Mitri and Rifat Kassis met to discuss further actions and developments on Kairos Palestine.

On the 14th of October 2011, Nora Carmi, Yasmine Khoury and Rifat Kassis met Patti Talbot, Program Coordinator at the United Church of Canada where they discussed ongoing activities and further cooperation.

On the 13th of October 2011, Yusef Daher gave a lecture about Kairos Palestine document to the JOC (Catholic Young Workers movement) in the Old city of Jerusalem. More than 18 attended and signed the document. The meeting was organized by Andreana Jasser, coordinator of the movement and an active friend of Kairos Palestine.

On the 12th of October, Rifat Kassis met representatives from the German donor agency EED to discuss the Kairos document and its developments.

On the 11th of October 2011, Nidal Abuzuluf gave a lecture on Kairos Palestine document to the 12 grade at Frere school in Bethlehem.

On the 9th and 15th of October 2011, Fr. Jamal Khader presented Kairos Palestine document to two French groups from Routes Bibliques.

On the 7th of October, Rifat Kassis was interviewed by a Muslim American magazine about the Kairos document.

Nidal presented the Kairos as an advocacy tool to different delegations from the YMCA/YWCA Sweden and Denmark as well and the Swedish Mission Council and the International President and some board members of the Y’s Men Club who visited the JAI during the month of October.

 Between the 14th -17th of September 2011, Fr. Jamal Khader, Rev. Naim Ateek, Cedar Daibes and Rifat Kassis attended a conference in Amsterdam, Netherlands organized by Kairos Netherlands. They spoke about Kairos Palestine messages and the Christian Palestinian situation under occupation.

On the 13th of September 2011, Nora Carmi, Yusef Daher and Yasmeen Khoury met a group of students from a theological institute in Germany. They spoke with them about Kairos Palestine document and the BDS movement.

On the 11th of September 2011, Nora Carmi, Fr. Jamal Khader, Yusef Daher, Nidal Abu Zuluf, Rev. Mitri and Rifat Kassis had a dinner meeting with the regional council of ICCO. They discussed, among other issues, the Kairos Palestine achievements and developments.

On the 10th of September 2011, Archbishop Atallah Hanna and Nora Carmi gave a lecture on Kairos Palestine document at Frere School in Jerusalem.

Between the 6th -9th of September 2011, Manal Abdo presented the Kairos Palestine document and songs at different monasteries in Syria; where many participants attended among them, the Sister Superior at the Shaghoura Monastery, Sister Nabhan, His Grace Bishop Luka Al Khoury the Greek Orthodox Patriarchal Exchargate of Antioch and Paulo at the Catholic Church in addition to other Muslims leaders. A lot of appreciation was expressed to Palestinian Christians for their document and they all prayed for the safety of all Syrians during these difficult times.

Between the 2nd – 7th of September 2011, Yusef Daher gave three lectures on Kairos Palestine document in Sweden.

On the 1st of September 2011, Kairos steering committee met to discuss further actions and developments on Kairos Palestine for the rest of the year.

On the 19th of August 2011, Kairos Palestine met a group from the American Friends Service Committee AFSC (QUAKERS) where they discussed the way of cooperation between them and the Kairos future work.

On the  July 29th  of July 2011 , Fr. Jamal Khader met a group of young leaders coming from different western countries at the YMCA in Beit Sahour to discuss the Kairos document with them. This  group was organized by JAI (Joint Advocacy Initiative).

On the 27th of July 2011, Yusef Daher and Rifat Kassis met Bishop Samuel Azariah the presiding Bishop of Pakistan to discuss their response to Kairos Palestine. Kairos Palestine will participate in a conference organized by the Church of Pakistan in October where Kairos Palestine document will be on the agenda of the conference.

Between the 2nd -26th  of July 2011, Fr. Jamal Khader made a lecture tour in France to talk about the Christian Palestinian and the Kairos document in 5 cities; Paris Caen, Lisieux, Vannes  and Rennes.

On the 26th of July 2011, Fr. Jamal Khader met a group of Global Ministries coming from different seminaries in the USA at Bethlehem Hotel.

On the 26th of July 2011, Rifat Kassis made a lecture about the Kairos and the role of Palestinian Christians to the political camp organized by the AIC in Beit Sahour. The lecture was attended by different participants from different countries.

On the 22nd of July 2011, Within the program of Sabeel conference for young adults, Fr. Jamal Khader made a presentation of the Kairos document and challenges related to the present situation in Bethlehem.

On July 22nd of July 2011, Nora Carmi met with a group from several theological seminaries connected with the United Church of Christ and Disciples of Christ in USA at the Augusta Victoria Hospital where she spoke about the liberating aspect of theology, the necessity to read the Bible in its real context, and the Kairos Palestine Movement. Between 19th till 25th of July 2011, Yasmine Khoury and Nidal Abuzuluf participated at Korsvei Festival in Seljord, Norway. They  Spoke about  Kairos Palestine Document and Christian Palestinian situation in two seminars. Also discussed the impact of the document on national and international level. More than 35 participants attended the seminars from different parts of the world.

The World Council of Churches and the Volos Academy in Theological Studies (Volos, Greece) organized a 3 days conference under the title: Christian Presence and Witness in the Middle East Today: Theological and Political Challenges", between the 19th -23rd  of June, 2011. Fr. Jamal Khader spoke on: "The Kairos Palestine Document in its Context". Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb made a presentation on: "Ur-text and Context: A Palestinian Christian Reading of the Bible". Ms. Nora Kort spoke about "Palestinian Christians in Jerusalem".

Between 2nd-14th of July 2011, Yusef Daher spoke about Kairos Palestine document to several groups from EAPPI, AEI women, St. Joseph scout, Dela Salle youth and others.

The ICCJ (International Council of Christians and Jews) organized its annual conference on "Religions and Ideologies: Polish perspectives and beyond", between 3rd-7th  of July 2011 in Krakow - Poland. Fr. Jamal Khader participated in a panel on: "Promised Land - Land of Israel - Land of Palestine - Holy Land", where he made a hermeneutical study on the notion of Land in the Kairos Document.

On the 29th of June 2011, Rifat Kassis had a dinner meeting with Mr. Bernhard Schaefer and his colleague, the head of the public relations department in Church Development Service - EED, Germany, accompanied by tow journalists. They discussed Kairos document and its influence on the German churches.

On the 19th of June 2011, Rifat Kassis, Kairos Coordinator, attended a reception organized by the Consul General of Sweden in Jerusalem on the occasion of the visit of the Swedish Development Cooperation Minister, Ms. Gunilla Carisson. The reception, which was organized in Wiam Centre, was attended by the Mayor of Bethlehem, the Ministry of Tourism, Bishop Munib Younan and others.

On the 17th of June 2011, Rifat Kassis gave a lecture in Ramallah to the YWCA participants to the world council meeting which will take place in Switzerland in July. He spoke about Kairos and its achievements.

On the 9th - 11th of June 2011, Kairos Palestine second youth conference took place where 30 participants attended and committed themselves to publicize more the document in their countries and adopt creative actions. Also a public lecture under the title of a theological and political reading from South Africa and Palestine took place where his Beatitude Patriarch Michael Sabbah spoke about the spiritual understanding of the document, his Eminence Archbishop Atallah Hanna spoke about the impression and lessons learnt from South Africa visit in addition to Mr. Mackiel Van Nikerk South African representative in Ramallah, Palestine addressed the conditions and requirements of success and failure in  South Africa struggle. Both international and Palestinian guests were in attendance. The public gathering was moderated by Rifat Kassis.

On the 31st of May 2011, Rifat Kassis together with Ms. Claudette Habash, Rev. Jaddallah Shihada and Dr. Hiam Marzouqa met with Mr. Mattias Platzek the Minister-President of Federal State of Brandenburg in Germany. The meeting took place in the Intercontinental hotel in Bethlehem to discuss the role of Palestinian Christians and Kairos document.

On the 27th of May 2011, Rifat Kassis met representatives from Amos Trust from UK to discuss their cooperation.

Between May 26th and June 2nd, Nora Carmi participated in the WWPPI (World Week for peace in Palestine and Israel) activities in Oslo and Trondheim, Norway.  She spoke about the Kairos Palestine Document at the Norwegian Church Aid Assembly in Lillestrom; to a group of old pensioners at Eilert Rostrup’s parish and at two seminars on Jerusalem in Oslo in which Rabbi Arik Asherman also took part. She also discussed the impact of the document with two bishops of the Church of Norway and introduced the Kairos document to a group of active women pastors in Trondheim.

On the 25th of May 2011, Kairos steering committee met to discuss the new strategies of Kairos and to agree on the action plan for the next year.

On May 21st, Rifat Kassis and Nora Carmi met Evert Jan Hazeleger, the new Program Manager/Director of Kerkinactie who was visiting the country for the first time. Evert Jan is the successor to Rev. Arie von der Plas, who had attended the kairos launch in 2009. Also present was Meta Floor, representative of kerkinactie and active volunteer in the community.

On the 21st of May 2011, Rifat Kassis and Nora Carmi met the General Secretary of Kirk in Actie, a Dutch Protestant organization to discuss cooperation and some outstanding issues between both.

On the 15th of May 2011, Sabeel, Wiam, YMCA and AEI organized a March in commemoration of al Nakba and in preparation for the WCC World Week of Peacefor Palestine and Israel (WWPPI).

On the 14th of May 2011, Rifat Kassis met representatives from a Catholic German organization to speak about cooperation between them. An advocacy officer sponsored by this organization will work with KAriso Palestine for three years.

On the 12 of May 2011, Kairos Palestine met with a group from the International Council for Christians and Jews (ICCJ) where they discussed the possibility of a new common ground and language in order to establish better relations between the two groups.  They considered forming a forum with the help of some representatives of the churches involved in order to accomplish that aim.

On the 9th of May 2011, Kairos Palestine board of directors met in Dar Annadwa in Bethlehem to discuss the achievements and the new strategy for the next year.

On the 9th of May 2011, Rifat Kassis met the representative of the United Church of Canada to discuss the cooperation between them. United Church of Canada had established a working group to work on encouraging their members to study the document and to work according to its recommendations.

On the 6th of May 2011, Father Jamal Khader and Rifat Kassis met the coordinator of Kairos Palestine working group in the Netherlands to discuss together the upcoming theological conference on Kairos which will take place in the Netherlands in September 2011. Father Jamal Khader, Rev. Naim Ateeq and Cedar Dubeis will represent Kairos Palestine in this conference.

On the 24th of April 2011, Rifat Kassis gave a lecture in Beit Sahour on Kairos and the Palestinian Christian role to the political campy organized by the Alternative Information Centre. More than 30 participants from different parts of the world attended this camp.

Delegation of Palestinian Christians visit Cape Town – Bring Message of Love, Struggle and Solidarity

On the 28th of March 2011, Rifat Kassis, Kairos Palestine coordinator, met in Talitha Qumi a group from the Lutheran Church in Nebraska in USA. The group was lead by the Bishop of Nebraska, seven other pastors and some congregants. He spoke to them about the Kairos document and the reason behind having one. He also spoke about the current political situation and the human rights violations inflicted on the Palestinians. At the end Rifat answered the questions and comments raised from the participants.

On the 20th of March 2011, Mr. Nidal Abuzuluf met a group of 20 Americans from Saint Paul Catholic Church in Cambridge /Massachusetts who have partnership with the Latin Church in Beit Sahour. The meeting was focused around the Palestinian Kairos document and its importance and impact. After presenting the document, Mr. Nidal answered the audience questions and asked them to promote the document with in there local church and their networks. They were also asked to communicate it with there congress members and to encourage others to Come and See. Copies of the document were distributed among the audience by the end of the meeting.

On the 17th of March 2011, Mr. Nidal Abuzuluf and some local Palestinian youth met 20 members of the Methodist church from USA where they discussed the Kairos Palestine document and its impact on the local and international level, responses made and future plans in addition to some reflections on the current situation from a youth perspective with focus on the living difficulties and the expectations from the churches.The meeting was ended by concluding that the Methodist church conference needs to invite Palestinian visitors to share their input and expectations from the conference in relation to the Kairos Document. By the end of the meeting, all the participants endorsed the document.

On the 9th of March 2011, Rifat Kassis met in the Paradise hotel in Bethlehem an interfaith group from Ghent in Belgium to discuss the Kairos document and the political situation in Palestine and Israel. At the end of the meeting some members of the group emphasized the need to distribute and study the document widely in Belgium and respond to its recommendations positively.

From the 26th of February till the 6th of March 2011, Rifat Kassis, Kairos Coordinator and Michel Nseir from the WCC visited India and Sri Lanka. In India they both participated in conference on Kairos Palestine Organized by the United Theological College in cooperation with Kairos Palestine & Palestine-Israel Ecumenical Forum (PIEF- WCC) between the 28th February -1st March 2011, in Bangalore.

In Sri Lanka they were hosted by the Anglican Bishop of Colombia and engaged in some public meetings. They delivered a Lecture on “Palestinian Crisis- Challenges and Opportunities in Colombo and another lecture in the Theological College of Lanka in Candy about the Kairos document. They also met with the Palestinian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Dr. Anwar Alagha.

On the 28th of February 2011, Mr. Nidal Abuzuluf met a group from Civil Peace Service where he spoke about Kairos document reactions in the Arab world, the chances of political effect in Palestine and possible secular allies. Mr. Nidal responded to the comments and questions made by the audience with much focus on the need that reluctant churches respond and act in accordance with the calls clarified in the Document itself.

On the 23rd of February 2011, Rifat Kassis met Mr. Stiaan van der Merwe in Bethlehem to discuss the Kairos group upcoming trip to South Africa.

On the 22nd of February 2011 Rifat Kassis met in his office in Ramallah a leading delegation from the United Church of Canada and discussed with them in depth the steps forward to support the Kairos process.

On the 18th of February 2011, Rifat Kassis, Yusef Daher and Nidal Abu Zuluf met a group from United Church of Canada where they discussed the Kairos document and the Palestinian Christians presence in Palestine.

On the 17th of February 2011, Ms. Nora Carmi met a group of Norwegian religious leaders and Rolf. G.Heitmann from Israelsmisjonen who were interested in understanding better the Kairos Palestine Document and the role of the Churches worldwide. The group was moved by the message of love that permates the document, and astonished at the Palestinian Christian understanding of the love of the enemy.

On the 4th of February 2011, Rifat Kassis met Meta Floor from the Netherlands and discussed together how to activate the Dutch Kairos group and their upcoming conference in September this year which will take place in the Netherlands.

On the 3rd of February 2011, Rifat Kassis met Mr. Rainer Zimmer a publisher from Germany who was the first to publish the Kairos document in the German language. They spoke about reprinting the document in Germany again.

 On the 3rd of February 2011, Ms. Nora Carmi represented the Kairos group at a workshop organized by the Middle East Council of Churches and the Norwegian Church Aid on “The Role of Faith Institutions in the Protection and Participation of Women”, where a number of Anglican, Maronite, Melkite,Orthodox, and Roman Catholic representatives of Churches attended, stressing out the importance of the right of women participation in decision making,implementing laws and raising awareness.

On the 31st of January 2011, His Beatitude Patriarch Michel Sabah, Father Jamal Khader, Nidal AbuZuluf, Yusef Daher and Nora Carmi met Rabbi Yeheil Poupko, Head of Jewish National Fund/Judaic Scholar at the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, Rabbi Michael Balinsky, Executive Vice President of Chicago Board of Rabbis and Rabbi David Rosen, Chairman of the IJCIC (International Jewish Committee on Interreligious consultations) and Director of the American Jewish Committee, where the Kairos Group responded to the theological interpretations/concerns of the Rabbis.

On the 22nd of January 2011, OPGAI ( Occupied Palestine and Syrian Golan Heights Advocacy Initiative) brought together leaders from the Palestinian Political Parties with Kairos Palestine group. This meeting was attended by representatives from the Executive Committee of the PLO, representatives from the different political parties, leaders of civil society, political activists, media people and the co-authors of Kairos Palestine.All representatives agreed on the significance of the document and its power and promised to place it on their parties’ agenda and use it as educational tool for their members and affiliates. They also called upon all Palestinian political parties, national movements and civil society organizations to hold meetings to explain the document and find ways to work with it for its importance in promoting international solidarity with the Palestinian people.

On the 19th of January 2011, Rifat Kassis and Nidal Abu Zuluf met the general director of ICCO accompanied by his staff and ICCO regional council. They spoke about the Kairos document and the international and local responses to it.

On the 14th of January, Rifat Kassis, Dr. Bernard Sabella, Nader Abu Amsha and George Rishmawi met the general directors of two German agencies, EDD and Bread for the World. They spoke about the Christians presence and the Kairos document and they way they can support it in Germany.

On the 5th of January 2011, Rifat Kassis met a group of American theologians and discussed with them the Kairos document. The meeting was organized by Siraj center in Beit Sahour.

On the 3rd of January 2011, Nidal AbuZuluf presented the Kairos Document to three American students and a teacher of theology from the New Testament Studies from Earlham School of Religion in the United States. One of the group members is also from the World Student Christian Federation/USA. In the discussions there were some clear emphasis on the theological dimension of the Kairos and the needed theological-based strategies to end the injustice prevailing in the Holy Land.

Between the 4th of December 2010 till the 3rd of January 2011, Kairos Palestine hosted Dr. Clint Le Bruyns from South Africa. Dr. Clint visited Palestine to know more about the situation and about Kairos. His trip was part of the preparation for Kairos visit to South Africa in April later this year.

On the 27th of December 2010, Nidal Abuzuluf met the general Secretary of the Korean YMCA in Japan and presented the Kairos Palestine asking for the support of the YMCA in promoting the document in Japan.

On the 13th – 18th of December 2010, World Council of Churches (WCC) and “Women in Church and Society” Programme, Kairos Palestine, and the Palestine-Israel Ecumenical Forum (PIEF) co-organized a Consultative Meeting on ‘Women’s Perspectives on Kairos Palestine’ bringing together a broad based group of women from Africa, Asia, North America and Europe along with women and youth from Palestine. The conference was addressed by a number of Kairos members. At the end of the meeting, the conference issued a statement talking about Kairos and the situation in Palestine.

The 16th of December 2010, marked the one-year anniversary of Kairos Palestine. The event commemorating this landmark involved speeches by his Beatitude Patriarch Michael Sabbah; Dr. Khuloud Daibes, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities; and Mr. Rifat Odeh Kassis, Coordinator of Kairos Palestine. Both international and Palestinian guests were in attendance. The public gathering was moderated by Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb, President of the Diyar Consortium.

On the 12th of December 2010, Nidal Abuzuluf presented the Palestinian Kairos Document to an American group of 45 catholic pilgrims. Nidal insisted on the need for clear responses from more American churches and the need for the American believers to be more involved in supporting this document.

On the 8th of December 2010, Rifat Kassis and Nidal Abuzuluf had a detailed discussion with 4 EAPPI Accompaniers on the best strategies to promote the Kairos in the Swedish context. The meeting was organized by Mr. Jan Bostrom a previous EA who is planning to work in Sweden in advocacy activities related to Kairos Palestine.

On the 6th of December 2010, His Beatitude Patriarch Michel Sabah, Father Jamal Khader, Rev. Mitri Rahib, Nora Carmi, Yusef Daher, Luci Thaljieh, Yasmeen Khoury and Rifat Kassis met a group of Authors and writers from the Netherlands to brief them about Kairos. The meeting was organized by the Dutch organization “United Civilians for Peace”.

On the 22nd of November 2010, Nidal Abuzuluf met Mr. Eilert Rostrup the General Director and 6 board members of Karibu Foundation (www.karibu.no) who were briefed about the Kairos Palestine. Its history, importance and the impact created locally and internationally

On the 22nd of November 2010, Rifat Kassis met a Swedish group and brief them about Kairos and the international responses to it.

On the 4th of November 2010, Rifat Kassis met a group from Haparanda and Tornio Parishes in Sweden and Finland to discuss with them on Palestinian Christians and the "Kairos Palestine- A Moment of Truth". The meeting took place in St. Mary’s house in Bethlehem and organized by the The Swedish Theological Institute in Jerusalem

On the 3rd of November 2010, Rifat Kassis and father Manuel Mussalem were interviewed by reporter Fathi Albarqawi from Radio Ajyal to talk about the Palestinian Christians, the Synods at the Vatican and the Kairos document. The program lasted for one hour and covered many important topics in relation to above mentioned issues.

On the 2nd of November 2010, Dr. Bernard Sabella and Mr. Rifat Kassis met a group of Parliamentarians from Norway representing the Conservative Party, the Labour Party and the Christian Democratic Party. The meeting was organized by Norwegian Church Aid to give the group the possibility to exchange views with Palestinians, both officials and civil society representatives, the chance to understand the Palestinian situation better. The discussions focused on the current political situation and the frozen negotiation process in addition to talk about the role of Palestinian Christians and also about the Kairos document. This meeting came after the group had met Prime Minister Salam Fiad in Ramallah.

On the 25th of October 2010, Rev. Mitri Raheb and Rifat Kassis met representatives from ICCO, a Dutch donor agency, to discuss with them the strategies of Kairos and the way forward.

On the 23rd of October 2010, Mr. Rifat Kassis, Ms. Nora Carmi from Sabeel, Dr. Mazin Qumsieh from Rapprochement center, Mr. Usama Zoughbi from Wiam center and Ms. Yasmeen Khoury from Kairos Palestine met a Norwegian group from the Church Academies to speak about Kairos document and the Palestinian Christians with special focus on non violent resistance.

On the 22nd of October 2010, Mr. Rifat Kassis met a group from Westfalen in Germany to talk with them about the Kairos. The meeting took place in the Lutheran Church in Beit Sahour.

Naim Ateek to speak on Peace in Palestine “From the Nakba to KAIROS Palestine: A Palestinian Christian’s Journey and Ministry”.

On the 21st of October 2010, Rifat Kassis met the “Elders” in Carter Center in Ramallah. The Elders are an independent group of global leaders, brought together by Nelson Mandela in 2007, who offer their collective influence and experience to support peace- building, help address major causes of human suffering and promote the shared interests of humanity. The Elders are Martti Ahtisaari, Kofi Annan, Ela Bhatt, Lakhdar Brahimi, Gro Brundtland, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Jimmy Carter, Graça Machel, Mary Robinson and Desmond Tutu (Chair). Nelson Mandela and Aung San Suu Kyi are honorary Elders. The meeting was also attended by two other Palestinian human rights activists. The three activists briefed the Elders on the human rights violation in the oPt. During the meeting Rifat handed the Elders copies from Kairos document.

On the 19th of October 2010, Rifat Kassis met a group from USA in Bethlehem Hotel to talk with them about Christian Palestinians and the Kairos document. The meeting was organized by Sabeel center.

On the 19th of October 2010, Kairos Palestine document was presented to Vatican by Monsignor Michel Sabbah, the Archbishop and Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem to the Special Assembly for the Middle East synod of Catholic bishops.

On the 14th of October 2010, Archbishop Atallah Hanna met Professor Roy Farman and his wife from DePaul University, Chicago where he introduced Kairos document and the process that created it.

On the 18th of September 2010, The Buena Vista United Methodist Church in Alameda, CA hosted an event with Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb where he spoke about the Palestinian Christian and the Kairos document.

On the 13th of October 2010, Rifat Kassis met in the Paradise hotel in Bethlehem a Norwegian group to talk to them about the Kairos and the Palestinian Christians. The delegation was lead by Rev. Berit Laanke from the Lutheran Church in Norway and was organized by the ATG.

On the 12th of October 2010, father Jamal Khader, Rev. Mitri Raheb, Nidal Abu Zuluf and Rifat Kassis met a delegation from the ecumenical UK based organization, Christian Aid. The delegation composed from the General Director of Christian Aid together with the head of the Middle East Desk and the Advocacy officer. They discussed ways to support the Kairos in UK and Ireland.

On the 7th of October 2010, Rifat Kassis met rev. Yves GABEL from the Baptist church in Brussles to discuss together the way to disseminate the Kairos in Belgium.

Kairos Palestine activities in Gothenburg, Sweden from 23-26 September by Yusef Daher:

  • On the 26th of September 2010, a morning service with Rev. Martin Lindbland and his congregation and briefing on the Palestinian Christians and their initiative. Visit with the Lindblad family and friends and lunch with Rev Linda Lindblad. Kairos workshop with for 22 people at Biskopsgardens Church with the kairos song and a film on the 60 years of Nakba were shown. The meeting was organized by Rev Eva.
  • On the 25th of September 2010, a meeting with the Palestinian Community in Gothenburg took place. Al Bayt Al Filisteeni is the name of their association, a Home for all the Middle east a home for all refugees They received the Kairos Document as a sign of hope and a supporting document to their BDS efforts. On the Iraqi situation the group was also consulted and actually we asked them to help Rev Gustav in his mission there and help the Iraqis to get beyond their trauma and fears and start a new understanding for a new life.
  • On the 24th September 2010, a tour of Gothenburg with Daniel Bjorkdahand and David Ekh with the interest of building up this new relation of support and awareness building among Christians. A visit to Biskopsgardens Church with Rev Torbjorn Semb and a short meeting with the congregation there and briefing on the content of the Kairos Document. Evening meeting with the Syrian and Iraqi immigrants community in Sweden was also an important stop in this visit where Kairos initiative was an eye opener and seen as a way out of the fear situation Iraqis are experiencing even after leaving their country. Lessons were also learned from their experiences. Relations between Moslems and Christians were explained for the benefit of more understanding and mutual respect.
  • On the 23th of September 2010, two events hosting Yusef Daher where conducted within the Book fair. “Jerusalem Interfaith identity and situation” was the first theme, conducted with and moderated by Rev. Marika of the Inter faith relations department in the Church of Gothenburg. The other encounter was on Jerusalem within the “Kairos Document”. About 130 attended both events. In the evening a small gathering with the ecumenical circle at the Church of Rev. Gustav Odquist.

On the 20th of September 2010, Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb, an author of the Kairos Document, was guest speaker at a meeting of the Israel-Palestine Task Force of the California-Nevada Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.

On the 17th of September 2010, the Greek Orthodox Club in Ramallah organized a lecture on Kairos document " A Moment of Truth". His eminence Bishop Atallah Hanna, father Dr. Jamal Khader, Rifat Kassis and Dr. Bernard Sabella were the speakers. The lecture was attended by Her Excellency Janette Micheal the mayor of Ramallah and other representatives of churches, churches related organizations, NGOs and officials from Ramallah.

On the 12th of September 2010, A symposium on religious tolerance from the perspective of the three monotheistic religions was held in Upper Galilee. His Beatitude Patriarch Michel Sabbah and Archbishop Atallah Hanna attended the meeting. They also introduced the Kairos document “ The Moment of Truth” to the audience. At the end of the evening Archbishop Atallah Hanna was granted the religious tolerance Award for 2010.

On the 6th of September 2010, Fr. Jamal Khader and Nidal Abuzuluf made a presentation about the Kairos document to the Greek Catholic Parish in Beit Sahour, where Fr. Boulos Armali the head of the church and around 40 people attended.

On the 5th of September 2010, Rifat Kassis met Professor Kim, Young- Bock from Asia Pacific Center for Integral Study of Life in Korea and discussed the cooperation between Kairos and the churches in Korea. Kim informed about the upcoming consultation on Kairos which will take place in Korea this year.

On the 3rd of September 2010, Archbishop Atallah Hanna made a lecture about Kairos Document at the Media center in Sofia the Bulgarian Capital.The lecture was attended by many journalists, Bulgarian media as well as representatives of a number of Arab embassies and representative of the Palestinian community. He also introduced the Bulgarian translation of the document in a press conference.

On the 3rd of September 2010, Rifat Kassis met the National Director of World Vision Mr. Alex Snary and Dr. Charlie Abu Saada to discuss the cooperation between them

On the 1st of September 2010, The General Secretary of the World Council of Churches Rev. Dr. Olav Tveit, met in Jerusalem over breakfast a number of Kairos Palestine members. They briefed him about the deteriorating situation of Jerusalem and urged WCC to act immediately to stop the homes demolishing and the expulsion of Palestinians from the holy city. The General Secretary of the World Council of Churches listened to the interventions and promised to follow up on the issues that had been raised.

On the 1st of September 2010, Nidal Abuzuluf met a Korean delegation from the Korean Christians for Peace in Palestine, spoke to them about the Kairos document where Mr. Lee Yun Hee made the Korean translation of the document and the group agreed on promoting the document among their Christian communities.

On the 31st of August 2010, Kairos Palestine met with Rev. Dr. Olav Tviet, the General Secretary of WCC accompanied with a WCC staff delegation. They discussed the cooperation between them and the future strategies.

Also, after the meeting, Kairos Palestine made a reception for the WCC delegation which was attended by the Mayors of Bethlehem governorate and the heads of different organizations and societies in the city of Bethlehem.

On the 30th of August 2010 Rifat Kassis made a lecture on Kairos and the Palestinian political situation to the new group of EAPPI in Talitha Qumi

On the 23rd of August 2010, Rifat Kassis, Nidal Abuzuluf and Nader Abu Amsha met with a group from Dan Church Aid headed by their General Director. Rifat introduced them to the Kairos Document and the process that created it, urging churches in Denmark and Dan Church Aid itself to respond positively to the Kairos.

On the 14th of August 2010, Rifat Kassis met with the Palestinian Initiative of Responsible Tourism steering group, along with a representative from World Council of Churches. Together, they discussed the guideline for responsible pilgrimage; this guideline will soon be ready for sharing with churches all over the world.

On the 6th of August, Rifat Kassis and Nidal Abuzulf spoke to a group from the Latin Youth committees; members came from various parts of Palestine. Two other groups, one Italian and one French, also attended the lecture. The Kairos Document was distributed among them

On the 5th of August 2010, Bishop Atallah Hanna and Rifat Kassis attended a welcoming meeting for the new Bishop His Grace Willaim Shomali. The meeting was organized by Aliqa Center.

On the 30th of July 2010, Rifat Kassis met with Mr. Ben White from Amos Trust in the UK to discuss cooperation between Kairos and Amos Trust.

Kairos Palestine in Syria from 24-28 July

Further to the several visits made by His Grace Bishop Atallah Hanna to Syria in the context of widening the exposure and spreading the word in the Arab Countries and in Syria in particular, and with the coordination and contribution of Mrs. Manal Abdo the coordinator of the Initiative in Syria, the Kairos Document is gaining more support and encouragement from public figures as well as Church leadership. Within a visit last month made by Yusef Daher some very important meetings took place where more support and even future plans were discussed with Archbishop John Qwaq from the Syrian Orthodox church in Damascus, Bishop Ghattas from the Greek Orthodox Church , Father Juan Hanna from the Greek Catholic Church and Mr. Samer Lahham the director of the Ecumenical relations department at the Greek Orthodox Church.

On the 23rd of July 2010, Rifat Kassis made a lecture about the Kairos to an international group in the Greek Catholic seminary in Beit Sahour. The event was organized By Sabeel Centre for liberation theology.

On the 21st of July, father Jamal Khader and Rev. Mitri Raheb made a lecture about the Kairos theology to theological students from Germany.

On the 21st of July 2010, Kairos group met to discuss issues related to the Kairos in Latin seminary in Beit Jala.

On the 20th of July 2010, Father Jamal Khader and Rifat Kassis made a lecture about the Kairos to a group of theological students from Germany.

On the 15th of July 2010, his beatitude Michel Sabah and Archbishop Atallah Hanna made a lecture about the Kairos at Orthodox club in Amman, Jordan.

On the 12th of July 2010, the Australian National Council of Churches made a resolution on the Palestine Israel endorsing the Kairos document asking the member churches to consider boycotting the Israeli goods produced in the illegal Israeli colonies.

From 1st of July till the 15th, Rifat Kassis visited Australia invited by Act for Peace (the international aid agency of the National Council of Churches in Australia) and the Canberra Ecumenical Working Group on Palestine-Israel to make public lectures on the Kairos document, meet officials and to attend the Australian national council of churches.

On Monday the 14th of June 2010, Ms. Yasmine Khoury, Communication & Administrative Officer at Kairos Palestine spoke to different groups of teachers at Global school about the Kairos document in Jönköping, Sweden.

On the 21st of June 2010, Rifat Kassis, made a presentation about the Kairos document to the Defence for Children International (DCI) staff in Ramallah.

International Council for Christians and Jews (ICCJ)

The annual meeting of the international Council for Christians and Jews (ICCJ) took place in Istanbul (Turkey) between the 21-24 of June 2010. on the second day, there was a panel on the Kairos document. Fr. Jamal Khader presented the document, and then Rev. Dr. Shanta Premawardhana, from the Interreligious Dialogue and Cooperation (World Council of Churches) and Rev. Peter Pettit, from the American Lutheran Church responded. The presentation was followed by an open discussion. The ICCJ issued, as promised during the panel, a statement on the Kairos document.

World Council of Churches

The World Council of Churches held a consultation on “Christian Self-understanding in the Context of Judaism” in Istabul (Turkey) between the 17-20 of June 2010. This consultation is one of a serious concerning the interreligious dialogue with different religions. More than thirty Christian theologians from all over the world participated in the consultation, and three Jewish observers. The Kairos document was presented by Fr. Jamal Khader, focusing on the relationship between the Old and New Testaments and the relationship with Jews and Judaism. In the final report stated the appreciation of the Consultation of the Kairos Palestine document.

On the 19th of June 2010, Kairos Palestine organized a meeting with the American Jewish thinker, Dr. Mark Braverman, to discuss with him the Kairos and how it can be strengthened and spread within the USA. The meeting was attended by small group of Palestinian intellectuals.

On the 16th of June 2010, some representatives from Kairos board of directors attend the welcoming reception on the international president of World Vision and discuss with him the Kairos document and it can be supported.

 The Central Committee of the Ecumenical Committee for Catechism in the Holy Land held its third general meeting at “Dar AnnAdwa Ad-Duwaliah”, in Bethlehem, and decided to include Kairos in the curriculum

On Thursday the 10th of June 2010, Mr. Yusef Daher spoke to a Swedish group about the Kairos in Bethlehem.

On the 8th of June 2010, Kairos board of directors met in the YMCA Beit Sahour to discuss their future actions.

Between the 4th till the 8th of June 2010, Mr. Yusef Daher visited Sweden to speak about the Kairos document. He spoke in the International Partnership fair of Church of Sweden in Vaxjo, in the preparatory training of Sweden EAPPI and at the joint meeting of NGOs working on BDS in Stockholm.

On the 29th of May 2010, Rifat Kassis met a representative from Kerk in Actie, A Dutch organization, and brief him about Kairos development.

On the 26th of May 2010, Rifat Kassis met representatives from ICCO, a Dutch organization, and brief them about Kairos development.

On the 20th of May 2010, Rifat Kassis met representatives from international Christian related organizations at the WCC in Geneva to discuss with them the Kairos and the steps forward. The following organizations attended the meeting;   the World Council of Churches, the Christian World Student Federation, Lutheran World federation, World Alliance of Reformed Churches, Conference of European Churches, Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance, World YWCA, World Alliance of YMCAs, Pax Christi and the Ecumenical Coalition on Tourism. The meeting was moderated by Rev Dr. Olav Fykse Tveit, General Secretary, World Council of Churches.

Between the 18th till the 22nd of May 2010, Rifat Kassis, Rev. Imad Haddad, Rami Kassis, Michel Awad and Sari Khoury participated in a theological reflection about “the theology of Pilgrimage to the Holy Land”. A statement was issued which can be vied under responses.

On the 18th of May 2010, Rifat Kassis made in Geneva a lecture to the World Council of Churches staff about the Kairos document.

On the 15th of May 2010 Naim Ateek, the founder and director of Sabeel, Jerusalem, spoke about the Kairos document at the Thornbury centre.

On the 15th of May 2010, Rifat Kassis was invited by the Swedish Theological Institute in Jerusalem to speak about the Kairos to Swedish Students from Lund University at Dar Al Nadwa in Bethlehem.

On the 13th of May 2010, Rifat Kassis spoke to Swedish student group, who was visiting the Lutheran Church in Beit Sahour, about the Kairos.

Actions from PIEF and the network, 11 May 2010

On the 11th of May 2010, Rifat Kassis met a student group from different parts of the world to talk about the Kairos document. The meeting was organized by the Alternative Information Center (AIC).

On the 10th of May 2010, Rifat Kassis met a group from the Netherlands and spoke to them on the Kairos. Some members of the group are members of the Netherlands Kairos working group and are active on promoting the document in the Netherlands.

On the 9th of May 2010, His grace Archbishop Attalah Hanna met a high rank Spanish delegation and spoke to them about the Kairos and the Israeli human rights violations in the OpT.

On Sunday the 9th of May 2010, father Jamal Khader, Nidal Abuzuluf and Rifat Kassis made a lecture in Beit Sahour to the scouts groups from Bethlehem area about the Kairos. At the end of the meeting, members of the scouts signed the document.

On the 8th of May 2010, the authors of Kairos document met in Beit Sahour at the YMCA to update each others on the development and to plan together for the future.

On the 8th of May 2010, Rifat Kassis met in Dar Annadwa two representatives from Civil Peace Service from Germany to discuss how can they support the Kairos document.

On the 7th of May 2010, Rifat Kassis spoke to a group from Anglicans in World Mission from UK and South Africa about the Kairos document and the way to support it. The group was headed by rev. Canon Edgar Ruddock, the deputy general secretary and international relations director.

On the 4th of May 2010, Father Jamal Khader, Rev. Mitri Raheb, Yusef Daher and Rifat Kassis participated in a workshop dedicated to discuss the Kairos document and how it can be used for the advocacy work of the Coordination Committee for Cooperation between the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land and her overseas Partners. This meeting was organized by the Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy land and was conducted in Dar Annadwa in Bethlehem.

On the 20th of April his beatitude Michel Sabah gave a lecture about the Kairos in Nazareth.

On Wednesday the 14th of April 2010, Rifat Kassis met an American/Canadian group in Beit Jala to speak to them on the Kairos document. The meeting was organized by Sabeel.

On April 2010, Sabeel Center issued a special edition from their monthly magazine (Corner Stone) on the Kairos document. The magazine is published in both Arabic and English languages.

On the 5th of April 2010, Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb, Nidal Abu Zuluf and Rifat Kassis met Mr. Constantine S. Dabbagh, Executive Secretary of the Near East Council of Churches Committee for Refugee Work in Gaza Area. They discussed the Kairos document and how to distribute it in Gaza and future strategies.

On the 30th of March 2010, Rifat Kassis participated in an event to mark the Land Day in Salfeet governorate. He spoke about the Karios document and the BDS component.

Introductory meeting between the Palestinian Christian Initiative, “A Moment of Truth”, and the Embassy of Egypt in the Arab Palestinian National Authority on March 29, 2010.

On Monday the 29th of March 2010, Bishop Atallah Hanna, Rifat Kassis and Youssef Daher from the Palestinian Christian Initiative delivered the document "A Moment of Truth" to His Excellency the Egyptian Ambassador to the Palestinian National Authority, Mr. Yasser Osman. Explaining the contents of the document, they stressed its importance in maintaining the presence of Palestinian Christians and articulating the Palestinian struggle for justice and independence. The ambassador expressed his admiration for this historic document and its significance in influencing public opinion on both Arab and international levels. He also commented on the powerful timing of the document’s release and its positive impact on the current Palestinian cause, both in general and specifically on the issue of Jerusalem. He noted Bishop Attalla’s call for enriching and developing the dialogue between Christians and Muslims: such partnership is crucial at this very moment of the Palestinian struggle, given the unprecedented onslaught of settlements in Jerusalem and other Palestinian territories. The members of the initiative asked His Excellency the Ambassador to deliver the document to the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Ambassador stated his readiness to organize a meeting between members of the initiative, the Egyptian government, and Al-Azhar in Egypt. (View images)

On March 25-26, the Association of Christian Churches in Baden-Wurttember (Germany) (ACK Arbeitgemeinschaft Christlicher Kirchen in Baden-Wurttemberg) had a 2 days meeting on Palestine at the Monastery of Kirchberg (Stuttgart). After an overview of a visit done by the Association to Palestine/Israel, Fr.Jamal Khader presented the Kairos document followed by discussion on the best ways to support peace and justice in the Holy Land. The discussion will continue within the churches present at the meeting in order to send a formal response at the Kairos document. Several suggestions were made to translate this support into church policies.

A Norwegian weekly newspaper, Morgenbladet, published the entire Kairos document in Norwegian language in its Easter week edition on the 26th of March 2010. It's a newspaper that goes to about 100,000 readers, mostly intellectuals and politicians - people involved in public policy debates.

On March 26, Fr. Jamal Khader presented the Kairos document to the Forum for Social Peace (FgF- Karlsruhe - Germany); journalist Johannes Zang made a presentation about the Christians of the Holy Land. The presentation was followed by discussion.

On the 20th of March 2010, Fr. Jamal Khader presented the Kairos document in Reneh -Nazareth, at the Latin Parish Hall; more than 100 people from the different parishes and the local community were present. the presentation was followed by discussion and signing of the document.

On the 19th of March 201, Rifat Kassis met the General Director of CORD AID, Dutch Catholic donor agency, in the Hague to discuss with him the possible cooperation on the Karios document.

On the 18th of March 2010, Fr. Jamal Khader presented the Kairos document in Rafidiah -Nablus at the Latin Parish Hall; around 80 people from the parish were present. The presentation was followed by discussion.

On the 17th of March 2010, Rifat Kassis met the Kairos working group of the Netherlands, which is comprised from some Dutch organizations and churches, to discuss with them their future strategies and cooperation.

On the 16th of March 2010, Rifat Kassis met Mr. Harry Derksen and Ms. Mieke Zagt, representatives from ICCO which is a Dutch donor agency, in their office in Utrecht in the Netherlands to discuss further their cooperation on the Kairos.

On the 12th of March 2010, Rifat Kassis spoke to a Norwegian church group about the Kairos document in Paradise hotel in Bethlehem. The meeting was organized by the Alternative Tourism Group (ATG).

On the 5th of March 2010, His Beatitude Michel Sabah, Rifat Kassis and Dr. Mustafa Abu Sway participated in Bethlehem University Symposium on the Presence and Mission of Christians in the Middle East. They presented the Kairos document and answered to the audience questions. At the end of the Panel, which was moderated by father Jamal Khader,  the participants signed the document.

On the 3rd of March 2010, Rifat Kassis met in Talitha Qumi, the National Coordinators and Core Group members of the WCC program EAPPI. He introduced the Kairos document and explained the Kairos Palestine official position on the BDS campaign. The meeting was attended by WCC representatives.

O n March 2010, Wi’am Center has conducted awareness raising session about Kairos document hosting 50 women and girls. The discussion focuses on the main themes of the document (occupation, non-violence, messages of advocacy, love and resistance, hope, a word of faith, messages to the outside world and its impact on the local Palestinian context. On Sunday the 1st of March 2010, the Latin church in Beit Sahour hosted an event where two representative from JEC/Palestine, the priest of the Latin Parish of Beit Sahour and the president of Pax Christ Italy handed Mr. Rifat Kassis and Mr. Nidal Abuzuluf, members of Kairos Palestine, a folder that includes the names and signatures of supports from the JEC to the Palestinian Kairos Document. This was the result of a general meeting for JEC that was held in Taybeh and headed by Patriarch Michel Sabbah on the 28th of February.

Bethlehem 23 February - Patriarch Michel Sabbah was an honorary guest and speaker to the launching conference of the Palestine Network of Palestinians in the Diaspora and friends. At the Conferences Palace near Solomon pools the Kairos document was distributed to all 100 participants and members of the conference. His Beatitude gave a brief summary of the “Momemnt of truth” and several interviews.

Kairos International coordination and .. On individual basis some Kairos Palestine supporters are becoming more involved and coordinating actions in their countries in circulating the document , gathering signatures and support within their constituencies. Manal Abdo from Syria and Beatriz Saman from El Salvador are two very active coordinators for the Kairos. Beatriz Cristina Saman delivered the document to the Archbishop of El Salvador today. Manal Abdo is visiting the different churches and some refugee camps during this lent period introducing copies of the document and collecting signatures.

Jerusalem 21 February - Within the ceremony of receiving the Archbishop of Canterbury in Jerusalem Yusef Daher approached his grace to present the Kairos Document with its new published booklet. His grace immediately acknowledge receiving the document and the booklets where handed to his aides who were interested to ask some few questions and showed great interest and personal support.

On the 12th of February 2010, 11 members of the Kairos group met in the YMCA/Beit Sahour premises to discuss their future strategies. They took a decision to establish a small coordination secretariat, to continue their public meetings with the local Christians, to continue and intensify the signature campaign and to start an international advocacy campaign.

Also on the 12th of February 2010 in the afternoon, Rifat Kassis and Nidal Abu Zuluf met in the YMCA/Beit Sahour an international group coming from different parts of the world to participate in the olive tree planting event organized by the JAI and the ATG. He spoke about the Palestinian Christians and the Kairos document.

On the 12th of February 2010, Rifat Kassis met an American student group in the Alternative Tourism Group (ATG) office in Beit Sahour. He spoke to around 40 students coming from different universities in the USA about the Christians in Palestine and the Karios document. Many of them promised to distribute the document widely in their context and ask their churches to support it.

Also on the same day, the 10th of February in the evening, His Beatitude Patriarch Michel Sabah, Father Rafiq Khoury and Rifat Kassis 3 co-authors of the Karios document together with the Dr. Said Abu Ali the Palestinian Minister of Interior spoke on the Kairos in the Latin Church in Ramallah. Around 150 people, Muslims and Christians, attended the meeting. The co-authors introduced the document and spoke about the background and the content of the document and what is expected from the local and international churches. His Excellency the Minister on Interior Dr. Abu Ali gave his personal reflection on the document and described as a historical document comes in a time where all Palestinian voices must be united.

On the 10th of February 2010, His Beatitude Patriarch Michel Sabah, Yusef Daher and Rifat Kassis participated in the third annual conference for the clergy organized by Sabeel Center in Jericho. There were around 50 fathers, reverends and priests coming from different part of the West Bank and from inside the green line. The co-authors spoke about the Kairos document. His Beatitude introduced the content of document and both Yusef and Rifat introduced the responses from the local and international churches, ecumenical bodies and organizations. They answered the questions raised by the audience and at the end of the meeting, all participants signed the document and pledged to include the Kairos in their ceremonies and preaches.

On the 6th of February 2010, Nidal Abu Zuluf, Yusef Daher, Lucy Thaljiah and Rifat Kassis, four co-authors of the Kairos in addition to Mr. George Rishmawi, the advocacy officer of the International Christian Committee and Usama from Wiam Center met with the Revd David Gamble the President of the Methodist Church in UK and the Vice President Dr. Richard Vautrey. They discussed the Kairos and what is expected from the Methodist Church in UK. The guests informed the group that the Kairos is already on their web and it will be one of the topics in their next Synod in June this year. The guests also spoke about their experience during this visit to the OpT and Israel and showed their solidarity to the Palestinian people.

Bishop Atallah Hanna have disptched a call for several Orthodox congregations in Syria and Lebanon about the Kairos.

On the 29th of January 2010. Rifat Kassis was interviewed by a Spanish journalist on the Karios document.

On the 25th of Janauary 2010, the Carter Center in Ramallah organized a lecture in Ramallah at Friends Meetinghouse with the title “Palestinian Perspectives on Jerusalem” where Dr. Mahdi Abdel Hadi, from the Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs (PASSIA), and Mr. Rifat Odeh Kassis from Defense for Children International – Palestine, coordinator of the Kairos group spoke about the topic. Rifat spoke about Jerusalem in the Karios document. Many people attended the lecture which was broadcasted on Palestine TV as well.

On Friday the 22nd of January 2010, a meeting for the Jerusalem christian Organization took place at the Jerusalem interChurch Centre. A review and evaluation of the document and initiative led to some important proposals that are acrried forward to the follow up committteeof the Kairos Group.

On Wednesday the 20th of January 2010, Yusef Daher made a presentation to English speaking cogregassion of the Lutherans in Jerusalem together with some other guests from the US. The presentation was made at the residence of Rev Mark Mallman on Mt. of Olives with almost 40 people present.

Yusef Daher was interviewed by Vatican radio on the document.

On the 15th of January 2010, Rifat Kassis met in Geneva Mr. Michel Nseir, the WCC program executive on Palestine and Mr. Ranjan Solomon the communication officer on Palestine and discussed with them the development on the Kairos initiative and its strategies.

On the 9th of January 2010, Rifat Kassis met a group from the WCC program EAPPI and spoke about the Karios document to them and answered their questions.

On the 9th of January 2010, Rifat Odeh Kassis met Mr. Ben White, a free lance journalist and member of Amos trust initiative for a just peace for the Palestinians to discuss the possible cooperation  between both initiatives.

On the 5th of January 2010, Rifat Odeh Kassis was hosted by the Alternative Information Center in Beit Sahour to speak about the Kairos document for the participants of the second annual international political camp organized by the AIC.

 2009

On the 28th of December 2009, the Kairos group met in Dar Annadwa, Bethlehem to discuss the future strategy of the group. They agreed that a simple structure should be established to follow up the implementation of the activities.

On the 27th of December 2009 till the 29th,  DIYAR consortium organized a youth conference where the Karios document was the main topic on the agenda. Rev. Mitri Raheb and Rifat Odeh Kassis, two co-authors, attended the conference and spoke about the document. The youth also met some members of the document authors lead by his Beatitude Patriarch Sabah and discuss with them their views about the document. At the end of the conference the youth elected a steering group for the new established youth network which will work on distributing the document widely in their own societies and to work on implementing its recommendations.
